    New DMGMORI equipment

Are those monoblocks Siemens controller or Heidenhain? We’ve been thinking about buying a DMU65, can’t decide which controller to go with though.

    New DMGMORI equipment

IGA campus Japan, took 8 months to build. All NTX machines are made in Japan to my knowledge. I know the Dmu dmg mono block stuff is made in Pfronten Germany, and possibly the ctx lathes.

    New DMGMORI equipment

For all you guys that like the CNC equipment as much as I do, here is a NTX2000 2nd gen 5axis lathe. Two turning spindles, a lower XZC TURRET, and a 5axis upper milling head. This will be the 5th one we’ve bought, 2nd in just a year. These machines perform. If y’all can’t tell, I drool over...

    Xcalliber P2 twisted

Like Evan said, it was bad heat treating... (I tested under 20rC on the p2 I twisted) pretty sure I was the guy who blew the lid on that situation. Defeo made good on my twisted p2, went way above and beyond. Would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

    Blew up my 72mm turbo.

How’s your engine running? This is starting to sound more serious than a blown turbo.... hopefully I’m wrong.

How's everyone doing with this virus crap?

It’s never going away, ever. It’s here on earth with us forever. People will die from it every year for the rest of time. None of us think it’s bs or doesn’t exist. My wife granddad just died from it, her grandmother survived it. I get sick of being compared to other countries, and people saying...

What did you do at work today?

If any machinist/machine shop owners are in this thread, we switched over from semi synthetic coolant to a full synthetic called Senergy 735 made by Blaser. It’s completely clear and odorless, it’s a “dry” coolant, doesn’t cling to swarf or the parts at all. Part finish is beautiful and parts...

    Tcm torque converter lock up

Ben’s lockup box is now a feature in his autosync module. It is programmable/customizable on lockup parameters. It works 100% automatically and plugs in the obd2 port. No wiring at all, simply plug it in, enable the lockup controller. Ben is able to changed the parameters for lockup (rpm, speed...

    Which 5

Looking for a 5” system that has a nice exit angle? Ie not 90 degrees to the fender. Seems like all of them are 90 degree exit?

Limped the Trans on the LLY

Evan sells a good kit with everything you need minus a couple of special tools. I built mine with one of his kits. Only advice I have is; have a large uncluttered and CLEAN work area. Clean everything twice and then again cause you didn’t clean it enough yet.
