Fired one up last night.

Found a downside to my new monster non-drainback Wix oil filters. The rubber flap inside doesn't allow them to purge air easily. Even with glowplugs out, it wouldn't build any oil pressure cranking. I was starting to second guess if I tightened the pickup tube or not..

I primed the system off my custom mainline turbo feed port a couple weeks back. So I pulled the filter and cranked it over. Burp, burp, here came some black oil outa the cooler, then steady stream.

Reinststal the filter and cranked it 5 sec again. Then popped the block off cap on that turbo feed line like I'd done couple times before, but this time took a shot straight to the face. Laughed at my stupidity, but was happy to get sprayed...

Actually cleaner idle than I expected with 200's.

Exciting to see it run in it's final home! And yeah, that idles as clean as or cleaner than my SAC75's. Nice!

It's going to to be a sharp looking setup when they're both fully assembled. You better take some glamour shots for us when it's all done. We need our fix lol

Had our dyno man adjust the 900hp tune to match these 200 overs based off flow bench #'s. Only other change was removing piston coating.

Then it's onto the real world water brake for retune.

Had our dyno man adjust the 900hp tune to match these 200 overs based off flow bench #'s. Only other change was removing piston coating.

Then it's onto the real world water brake for retune.

That's a pretty aggressive looking wheel, 38 pitch or so?

Set of 17x34's a buddy loaned me to test with. Once I see how those do, will likely step up to 17.5x38 or 40's with 5 or 6 blades. But no need to spend big $ on a set of props when really no idea what it needs.

Beggars can't be choosers.. And 34's are biggest thing I could beg up this month... lol

Good call lol. I have a feeling, those motors will blow right thru those props:spit:.

This is such a badass build!

I know you’ve posted it before, but may I ask what drive ratio? And where you plan to be at rpm wise at wot?

A little never seize on your gp delete rods never hurts. Especially if ya wanta take them in and out again..

Only SD parts on this whole build, and they ain't blue. Ironic ...

#2 primed .

Same issue of air lock on the filter head again. This time I pulled the oil temp sensor and set a cup under it. Took a couple 10 sec cranks with glow plug deletes out to get it flowing. Then reinstalled the sensor and she built pressure like normal.
Gonna have to note that one in the owners manual..

I put never seize on the last set of glow plugs I did. I've heard some complain of the lack of conductibility, but I say BS. Would rather have them come out in one piece

I put never seize on every glow plug I've ever done. Never had any issues with continuity. Though it's particularly irrelevant for these motors LOL

I've heard horror stories on glow plugs from many professionals. And judging by these SS deletes, don't really think I'd want to torque on a real plug that hard..

But be sparing because any excess does run down the stem to where the plug seals against the head. Noted that on a couple that hadn't been out since dyno.
