    I want to build my motor soon, I want to be capable of pushing 800-850 hp but will daily drive between 500-600, I want reliability and I am not affraid to spend the extra but I dont want to be replacing rings every 30 000 miles, are the cast mahles any better or just stick with stock pistons cut...

Do diesel pistons typically just crack, cause I deal with 2 stroke motors and a piston in those normally melts, turns a ring and scores the cylinder, if a piston cracks is the cylinder in a diesel normally good still?     I limped mine tons and it totally destroyed doing a very high boost launch at the track, oh well i had the kit already, but ya just turn the power down / off and drive it nicer, dont mash it in the higher gears

    sounds like dual stock pumps is the way to go. glad to see this thread, what if my stock pump is getting weak, should I rebuild it? I read some where a guy can mod his cp3 him self, cant find it now but is that a worth while thing to do.
