Which Shackles?

I'm going to be taking my lift off, looking to lower the torsion bars and running 3" drop shackles with 305/50 tires. Just wanting to see what shackles people are running and what the "true" drop of them are. So far I'm leaning towards belltech..

I will be needing stock height shocks, spindles (steering knuckles), rear u-bolts, diff crossmember and I'll get the diff ear fix.

6" longer than stock shackle will give you a 3" rear drop. 4" longer shackle than stock will give you 2" of rear drop and so on.

I saw that the belltech one is adjustable, I like that just incase I can't go as low because of my wheels. Thanks for the input, I didn't know how they were measured for the drop

No problem. You may or may not need shims at 3" drop on the shackle to keep pinion angle happy

I've got 3" shackles and no overload. I don't have and driveline vibes unless I load it heavy. Then I just put some air in the bags to get rear back up.

my reg cab sat higher in the back than what my ccsb does..it could of possibly had another leaf in it but I know it was higher..I don't really ever tow or haul anything. I mean I might when I move, I will have a small trailer and not too much weight..

clrussell didn't you used to have a ccsb? I thought I saw on a masterctaft site or something, maybe it was someone witha similar username..

Ya I used to have a crew lbz with a Hsp 475 over stock kit when I sold it.
When it had bmfs and a Danville 68

In using belltech shackles. I like em and I've hauled some loads with my truck since install. I've got about 8k miles on them now. This is from pulling season.

i used the cheapest ones i could find off ebay. Mine are only a 1" drop shackle. i have a 2" block, deaver mini pack, and the shackles. Who puts a lowering shackle on a lifted truck, right? there is a method for it ;)

the longer the shackle, the lower the spring rate becomes for the leaf springs.
