Did you mean 5/16 or 3/8 a 9/16 is a very big bold if a 9/16 wrench fits it then it is usually a 3/8 bolt...:hello:

No sir, I have a single 9/16" bolt through my motor mount. Which means the head is a 3/4". Long ago, guys would snap a single 1/2" bolt. I didn't want to add two bolts when one larger one would do just fine. It's been 8-9 years and still holds strong.

Oh I see I may have to do this, Tony is already going to rework my cold air pipe as it is hitting the hood without torquing the motor out of shape
Thank you for clarifying and posting the pictures...:thumb:

no problem. Diesel place has a lot of old info on this (this was prior to that place being sold out by Nick and going down hill for actual tech).

A 1/2" bolt typically has a 3/4" head on it.

But ultimately I believe Whitey was referring to my bolted trans mount if I'm not mistaken.

Duh. i was trying to remember the socket size i just had on my traction bolts last weekend. they are 9/16" bolts as well. 13/16" bolt head and a 7/8" nut sized cap lock nut

depends on how cheap you are as for buying over aftermarket unless you DD. the aftermarket tends to induce more vibrations into the cab. Mine is very solid. my twin kit is 1/2 away from the RF inner fender and it has never touched the fender.

don't care about the price but if i can get the same results with a couple of bolts and a twelve pack why not
