World's Fastest Ram Srt10 Video (March 2011)

It's still a mod motor... Ford needs to remember where cams belong in a motor?? I have been at our local shop twice in the last 3 weeks and there has been a blown 5.4 in 2 trucks
After all the BS we went through with our mod motors I won't own another, they ran pretty decent with a bit of work, but we had dependablility issues useing them as work trucks. I have always wanted a lightning and would still own one but I would keep my local shop on permanent reserve tell I could learn to trust it.
Don't hate on Ford motors just because you failed. It doesn't mean that they are bad. It doesn't mean that the cams are in the wrong place. All it means is that you failed at it. Maybe you didn't buy enough truck to begin with and you pushed it too hard. Like Mike said, Lightnings can be faster than shit.
I don't see how I failed Randy???? We had a 97, (2) 99's, 00 all were F150's 3 5.4's and 1 4.6. The 4.6 was for us a much more reliable motor, not a power hound but a decent little motor. The 5.4's pulled the boat pretty decent mever had power complaints really just had alot of issues. Our 5.4 were never pushed harder than pullin our boat to around the state from tourny to tourny, boat is only 20ft and around 3200 pounds on the trailer at the most. I don't see how people like yourself are even willing to stand up for them. The mod motors will never be as good as the good ole 302 351 and 460 those were good dependable strong motors.
And yes I would like to have a lightning for a toy, but until I win the powerball it won't happen sadly my trucks have to make money for me.
Jordan, I dont think he meant you "failed" personally. With the exception of a few designs, Ford engines pretty much suck. You were behind the 8-ball right from the get-go. You should have tried building a 302 or 351W back before aluminum heads.....now that was a fail.
I'm sure there are a few GM diesels that could tow it to the track, beat it, then tow it home.......
but it's faster than any of my rigs, so I have to give him props for that....:thumb:

I wanted a Lightning in 2003 to replace my Ford E350 work van.
But when I found it really wasn't a good work/tow truck, I decided I was going get a diesel pickup and make it have Lightning performance. I test drove the Ford 6.0, but didn't like reports I was reading about 6.0 problems.
Big Blue is actually a Lightning replacement. It runs similar ET's to a stock Lightning, gets better mileage, and I can carry 5 people while towing a car trailer.

Yeah you guys are a tough crowd. Yeah it's slow in the track compared to other trucks but keep in mind this is a pioneer vehicle in the Srt10 world. This was one of the first outings for this truck since the recent updates and power adders. It will take time to get right.
Yeah I know it's a diesel site. I know this is not a Dodge site. I thought this was a truck site that promotes performance. Is it not? If it is don't you want to know and have some knowledge of what else is going on in the truck world. This truck is in the works.
As far as I am concerned I also own a Srt10 truck. I also race the truck and I promote racing at the race track. There are far too many people racing on the streets. I film at the track as well and do it for free as a benefit for taking it to the track. This is the reason for posting my videos all over the net.
If my videos offend anyone here I'll simply not post them here any more.

you didnt offend any one thats just how everyone is here on the site. we are all die hard dmax guys. and we all enjoy seeing what is out there for us to race with. just be careful when you say things like the worlds fastest...:thumb:
There are no recorded Srt10 truck(s) faster than this one. If I am wrong then where is the proof?
I know one , you don't have the fastest truck dude ! Lol there is always someone faster . Not being a dick , just stating the facts and if I were you I would get my bugs worked outta my truck before i start to video it and put it all over the net
I believe you are right Tom it was the first thread I read in the A.M. and was still fuzzy eyed. I still love our old mid 90's fords with the 351's and 460's they were good trucks and would pull pretty decent. Dad had a uddy with a 302 in a stepside 150 and he ran pretty good it was a sweet lookin little truck.
Now Ford has built this "AWSOME" 6.2 and it is not looking good for it, with every test publication complaining of harmonics from the motor and some kind knock in the motor under passing rpm. Ford has found the skirts on the pistons are hitting the mains. How does Ford test there motors?? Chevy has made not so good of V8's but never really heard of one that was just all out bad.
That truck might be a shell of the Srt10 but it's not the same engine. It's a 357 twin turbo Nascar style engine. I still stand by my statement until someone gives me proof. And by posting it everywhere on the web it makes it easy for someone to disagree with the claim and post up proof of what they are saying.
This is not my truck that is shown on my video. Speaking of facts who is that one that you know? Is there any supported proof of what you are saying?
