Windshield:
I had 70% 3m ceramic tint on my last truck! I miss it! it was barely noticeable inside the truck at night but made a very noticeable difference in the cab during the day

Sides:
3m ceramic in a 35% made them slightly darker than the rear, just slightly, my front windows had that uv solar glass, not the crystal clear stuff.
Current cars:
The bimmer got 50 all around and looks very classy and is really functional at night
I put 15% all around (not the windshield) on my golf, and it's pretty dark, at night I get glare and reflection from all my instruments, I have to roll my side window down to back up in dark areas and it's sometimes hard to see when taking corners at night in dark areas, it rocks during the daytime although I think I would've been just as happy with a 35% instead.
Our legacy that went to Cali with our daughter we put 55 front and 35 in the rears and it's a very "stock like" look for tint, and is functional at night
I really like the 3m ceramic film, however it's not available in every percentage offered. To get a factory like tinted look with this film, 70 on the front and 50 in the rear will do it, you could even go 35 on the back window and still have a "factory tinted" look
For a windshield I don't think I'd go much darker than a 50 in a ceramic film, as ceramic tends to yield a darker look.
