Just wondering how shitty your fitment is also. When I first installed it in the truck it was awful and dealt with it even though I know how bad my runners threads got messed up. This time I tried to chase the threads out on reinstall and ended up busting out the back side of the runner bolt holes. So now gotta find new runners and suck out the heads. There is no f-ing way you could ever install this pos with an oring in and have it fit perfect! I guess I'll have to use gasket maker with it if I have to reuse. It's a piece of junk IMO, wondering how everyone else's fits?

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1388083383.521492.jpg that's a pic of it sitting without any bolts in it. It's a pain in the ass to push down one side. The other side never fully lays down. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1388083430.321419.jpg here's what happens to the smooth bolt holes after being installed. Obviously this should not happen. It cuts threads in it from being so off.

Buy a new one from someone who knows how to fabricate. This is exactly why Trent fell off the face of the map and is now in hiding......

Would y'all be afraid to use gasket maker on this? An oring would be so much better for durability but but I wonder if it wouldn't be such a crazy idea with gasket maker?

That's not gonna work...... either sell it cheap to someone who has the skills to fix it and buy a good one or take it to someone who can fix it. The problem is you could about buy a new one for what it would cost to fix it....

That's a big gap to seal. If I was to try I would use the grey GM sealant. Your intake plenums use it to seal but they are a lot tighter.

That's what I'm wondering about. If there isn't an oring in it it lines up okay. I just wasn't sure if 4 bolts on each side would have the amount of clamping force to keep the gasket maker from leaking.

He's not in hiding lol.

I ran into him in Wyoming in a grocery store. Ya he's in hiding. He wouldn't say hi. Just put his head way down and walked away.

Back on topic. Mine was the same way. Ended having a buddy that knew how to weld aluminum fix it.
