Who's running TRIPLES and how do you like em verses compounds

I thought of triples utilizing my GTX4508R (80mm) and adding 2--SXE369s or SXE366s . Logic being the SXEs would help a lot with low RPM spool/boost blowing thru the 80 then the 80 would come in for the top end . Does that sound logical/feasible . Or is my theory off ? My compounds can hit that HP level but they obviously have a lot more lag. I can brake boost my current setup to 3200/40# boost with my Convertor now . Blown head gaskets and all at my last track outing . Streetabiliy suffers with big compounds no if ands and buts about it . Guess I want my cake and wanna eat it too :D

Triples work in the opposite manner. You'd want something smaller and faster spooling then the GTX4508R.

I see . I wonder if a lot of the success that Mike's combo is having isn't because they all three come in simultaneously or realitively close plus the 72 being the biggest so they spool quick at a lower RPM and still support top end power at a higher RPM with a flat power curve through out

The two turbo's feeding the valley turbo provide the top end power and the valley charger provides the spool up.

I see what your saying given the valley sees the exhaust flow first the atmos spool at slightly higher rpm before they get going good . Still 2 smaller turbos spool easier than 1 big atmo even though they share the exhaust flow after the valley charger ?

In my opinion they would spool faster for comparable air flow. I'm no expert and I'd love to hear from some people who have gone from compound twins to triples.

Chris went from compounds to triples. His triples are much more capable of power than the compounds and he says they are much more drivable as well.

I went from a gtx4202r/5541 76mm and 106mm setup to a 75 and 2 72's. I really like the new stuff better. I feel it pulls a lot harder then the compound setup. The triples are quiet, the look on people's faces will be missed when the 106 was starting to spool.

Yes , Moparkxracer has been very helpful with information . Just trying to do as much research as possible . Thanks for all the help Chris . Anxious for you to get your truck tuned and tweaked .

I know it's dealing with a lot smaller setups but the guy that did my 475/stock lly twins had a s3**/stock lb7 triples. Both stock fuel max effort tuning. His spooled quicker and most definitely flowed more on top as well.

some of this talk is making me rethink the whole pt98 over s472 twins for these triple setups .I wonder how triples would spool compared to the 480/366 set up i have now
