Question: What's the most hp made on s400 frame turbo?

You can go as small as 64mm all the way to 88mm with several different compressor covers and turbine options.

A full custom pulling charger will make around 1200 on an s4 frame. That's with a big turbine, wide A/R & huge injectors.

I read in Diesel power that someone made 900 rwhp with a stock turbo, stock injectors, and a stock bottom end. Engine had 300,000 miles on it to. On tune 2 of 5. Stock transmission also.

An s478 is not going to make 1000+hp on a diesel.

Broviak has tuned some engines on his engine dyno with s400's that were north of 1300. Last one i remember was a 483TCT with the big tw and t4 housing. Street truck engine. A 475 will make four digits on an engine dyno with the right setup.

S485 built by JEB Machine has made 1500 fwhp on Haisley's dyno on a Super B type 2.6 engine...Most flywheel HP I've heard of from diesel s400.

A 78mm s400 is only rated at 1050hp and that is flywheel hp maxed out.
