Not sure. I sourced all my parts myself, I post over on df more. A bunch of guys all went in together and pitched in on the turbo for my wedding gift. Brock aka minerigger was kind enough to assemble/port n polish my turbo.

I picked the Lly stock turbo up for $200
Tct wheel $500
10 blade turbine was $120 off eBay
Rebuild kit was $200 from Midwest
Fingers high flow vanes $300
Balancing was around $80 I believe

So all together I had around $1400 into mine. Brocks truck is the one I rode in with the stg2r.

Did Brock ride in you truck? Maybe some input from him would be good on here as well. I always wondered what the big difference is between them.

TX of course
I would think the 3794 has more topend. I don't recall anyone making over low 600s on a LLY charger fuel only.

Stg2r starts life as a 4094, and should have much higher power potential.

A stock/modded charger is going to feel better on stock fuel. It's when you start driving the sucker with more fuel than you can give stock that they come alive and show what they can do. Not to mention tuning plays a good role too

Ok. So I have 06 lbz with the typical crap we all have. Trans from evan with a 1058 I had prior on my 366, tunes from mark.
As far as spool up goes the modded lly is faster but this is from being smaller obviously. At idle after the vanes sweep the stg2r is louder, cruising down the road windows down the lly is alot higher pitch. In cab when your laid into it you hear the lly scream out the exhaust but you can also hear a faint bit of compressor...it's between a whistle and a supercharger wine is the best way I can describe it.

My opinion. The stg2r is a bad ass turbo but unless your going to push it I really think most guys would be happy with a modded lly. They are just as loud, cost a bit less and I'd guess easier to tune but I leave that to the pros we all know and love. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to run a lly turbo on any truck.

I'd be curious to see a box 3794 have a port and polish from Russell and see the differences between a 3794 stg2.

Tuning is huge on it too. My in person tune from mark pisses all over my initial emailed tunes (and they were damned good!).

I have talked with mark and he said he used to build my same turbo. Said he's gotten 700hp out of it with more fuel obviously. I'll be adding more fuel to mine soon hopefully, my cp3 won't hold rail right now so it's really tough to get a good track time or dyno number to see what it's making.

Not to get off subject but since we're talking about the vgts, I dont understand why someone would buy a 4094 stg2r aka 68 Danville vs the stg2r 3794, same exhaust size correct? Just larger frame, but doesn't the 3794 have a larger sweep of the vanes allowing it technically to work better all around but still pull up top? And, on top of it you can get the 3794 with a 68mm compressor. So what would be the overall difference besides the frame of the two?

3794 is a GT37 frame and 4094 is GT40 frame turbo. 3794 has a GT37 turbine wheel(same size as an LLY) and 4094 has a GT40 turbine wheel.
3794 use a 65mm comp wheel where as the 4094 is a 68mm comp wheel.

In short, 3794 is an LLY turbo with a 65mm comp wheel and the 4094 is the next step up in frame with 68mm comp wheel.

Is tossing the 10 blade turbine wheel in worth anything other than noise?

I couldn't handle looking over the curtain (c section).

My wife had to have emergency c sections on both our kids, I took pictures of them pulling them both out. When our daughter was born they wiped her off and handed her to me and we watched them sew my wife back up, it was a cool experience. The doctor ask if I wanted to cut the cord, I said that's what I'm paying you for, I'm trying to take pictures!
