Whats all done to the motor that u didnt see an improvement ? U have a stock turbo? Im sure a few things make it un-noticable until u upgrade a few other things. Not tryin to argue, but it had to help restriction and flow. Cooling and spool.

Dan, What sponsors are you asking about on Mr. Hall's Truck???
Are you asking because he has stickers on the truck for some of the products that he has bought or possibly the stickers that PPL and other organizations make him run for the events???
There are stickers on that thing that support the other companies that make parts that he uses... The only sticker on that truck that helped with some fuel money was the NuTech Seed Sticker. There were no companies that sponsored Rob's Truck including my past employer.

If you guys want to bitch about a motor price, I have just two words for you.....Nasty Girl.

The amount of money Keith spent was amazing and sad, all at the same time.

Sure but was he able, after he used it , sell it for what it would cost to practically build one? That is the $35,000 dollar or BO Plus core question! :joker:

I'd bet he didn't get out 20% of what he had in that truck. Not argueing that that's a ton of money for that motor after being involved with a few.

he was very early in the game and also did some really dumb stuff that added to the cost. I believe that truck is sitting in Calgary and belongs to Curtis.

Everyone learned what to do and what not to do from that build and others. Someone has to blaze the trail and eat the costs when trying new ideas.
All the parts and procedures we take for granted now had to start somewhere with someone.

I had the first production set for LB7's. Nathan used mine to build the jigs for the first generation of LB7 twins. Rob had the first set for LLY's, and Juice had the first set period the proto type. I know that Rob's and mine are still running. Mine being world travelers, first Oregon then Finland now Alaska.:thumb: Rob's are in Hawaii still on his old LLY. That seem like a 100 years ago but it was only 6. Lots has happened since then for sure.

Time does fly, I remember my first goal was to break into the 13's. I felt I would be running with the big dogs then. A 10 second pass was un heard of.

Yep..I remember all those stories of who was testing what. Always was amazed that regular people had that kind of money, drive and patience to do R&D with companies like that, which furthered the sport for everyone. If you or Simon ever talk to Jon, tell him I said hello. I always enjoyed shooting the shit with him.

Anyway, back to the topic....Mac, PPE's motor is worth exactly what someone will pay for it, and not one penny more or less. Same goes for every other part sold by every other vendor on every other diesel site on the web. The question always is, "Are you willing to pay that price?"

What was the reason why it could not be registered in the United States? Was it just to "NASTY"? Was it all the cheap Autozone exterior add ons? :D
