Hadn't Keith gone back and forth to Canada a bunch of times without problem? Why would they stop him all of a sudden. All that piping had been there for years.

The truck was not registered to the new owner in the USA. So it would need a inspection, that is where all thhe issues came in.

I believe if he would of just said it was for off road use only it would of been "ok" but.... he tried to drive it across and got messed up in the fudge factor.

That is my understanding

Really? I believe you but in reality it's hard to believe. Perhaps there is a shit ton left out of the story? I'm just saying as long as what ever it is being declared "as" is as and it's value why would it be denied? For example documents said it was a motorcycle! Could have been as a in op? Like I said I believe you but there's a big hole missing in the reason! Looking to radical? Unless it was all the cheesy exterior glue ons?
Cheesy glue ons? People can say what they want but keith did what people said wasnt possible. Hate it or not, he loved the diesel sport.

I respect that!

I think that was one of the coolest lookin and running trucks ive seen, even to this day.

I helped with the trans in that truck and got to ride in it. By the time I got to Merchants it had already blown the converter and it still hauled ass. It layed down 1035 hp with Tony Martino tuning it that day. 5 years ago it ran 10.32 or 10.35 and broke a billet input shaft half way down the track. Sadly it was never competetive again after that. Truck weighed well over 7K with tool box and all. Nasty Girl was a legend.:thumb:

It is a shame. The engine was one of Curtis'. He plans to build another one like it and make the truck like it was.
Curtis told me the same story when we were up for the Edmonton race. I hope that he pulls the ghetto glitter off of it, only thing it lacked was bouncing suspension. The guy trying to cross at another crossing is what sunk him. Could have been bone stock and they wouldn't have let it across. I wonder if he had claimed it as a pure race truck if he would have gotten it across?

Man we have really gotten off topic here. How's the sale of the engine coming and what is the current asking price?

Simon's correct with the border crossing stuff... It's not Canada that is the issue it's the good ol' USA & Custom's... & yes the second border crossing really cooked the goose for the new owner being able too get Nasty girl across. Probably should of trailered it and declared it is a comp/offroad only vehicle... Hind sight is 20/20 though. Shame, that's the truck that sent me down the road of "Holly Shit this is a expensive hobby":D I was perfectly content with my bastard stack tuna, thinking my truck was bad ass...

Keith was off working and Curtis drove it for a couple weeks breaking in the newly done engine. Ran a 10.3. It was an awesome truck.

An engine compartment full of big turbos and piping and stuff, the thing didn't look anywhere near stock and emission legal. It is what it is, you're trying to make it more.

I was beating around the bush trying to be nice not knowing if who ever bought it was here and I didn't want to just come right out and call him a moron for what I said and others that he once the Boarder told him forget it and not changing it to in op but just going to a different crossing is the stupidest thing! Meant no harm the word "radical" is really what made me even respond made me start thinking what to heck does the boarder guy really knew about it. Nonetheless meant nothing by it

I grant Mackin the "biggest hard-on over dumb shit award for 2012." Only a couple hours left I think he can clinch it.

And I would like to thank my supporters Mcrat for having this forum Poltergeist for his hard work ,the moderators for their unbiased moderating, and the lord and if I've forgotten anyone I sincerely am sorry! :roflmao:

Believe what you want. Curtis told me the whole story.

X2, true story! A custmer of mine bought it and what hung him on the first time trying to drive it home was that it didn't have the stupid plastic core support cover with the federal emissions compliant sticker so the guy picked it apart and it went down hill fast from there. The motor is ripping it up in it's new chassis and the customer learned a very expensive and valuable lesson. The turbos are bigger now and it is a blast to drive around and is the customer's daily driver.:thumb:

The truck is sitting in a field, feeling the effects of southern Alberta`s climate changes. I was thinking about swooping the cage out of it LOL, Its about the only thing decent left, the rest of the truck needs some serious TLC. I was black from head too tow just trying to boost it with the batteries under the bed.

Know about the cage very well. The guy who was hired to build it in Boise got started but fell behind and Nathan spent about 24 hours straight going over and helping him finish it so Nathan could get it finished and haul to Salt Lake so they could race it for the first time. Nathan also built dual fuelers for it, but didn't realize when he plumbed it that the other common rail had a plug in the end that he didn't know about so the second CP did a self destruct. :(
