Inconel for the win!

Got my wedding band in it :D

Never messed with inconel but did make mine out of stainless. Heated it with the torch to discolor it then polished the outside so the grooves would be dark. Finger hasn't turned green yet, lol.

TX of course
A man gave me some D-rings several years ago and I finally got around to doing something with them. Bought a new gooseneck recently and decided to fix them to go in the stake pockets if I ever wanted to use them. Made some pins out of 3/4" stainless and stick welded them together then had them painted the lime green all my other hitches are.

Did you find an auger for it?
The only one I've seen is the one that jlawles2 posted for $256, I haven't tried to see if it's available, I can't bring myself to pay that for the shaft when I only gave $100 for the planter itself. I may try to make one first and go from there.

Another option for making the auger (will take a lot of work) is to cut half circles and weld the together. You might be able to find some washers that will work and make one cut then separate the washer along the axis of the bolt making the Helix.

I tried that last week, here's my sample piece. This is what I'm going to try and make it with since it's only 12" each way.

Do we win a prize if we guess the "brand" of turbo?

Godspeed is my guess :D

Yes, turbine was too big for the setup so the vanes hit the wheel when opened all the way up. Your guess is as good as mine on who but it was from that neck of the woods so it's a good possibility since it is an Ohio truck and was half ass put together by a shop over there also. It still amazes me what gets passed off as "quality work" these days but people want to bitch at me because I'm not cheap...

That says it all Mark. People come in here all the time wanting something machined and then try to haggle the price. Do it yourself and see how much it cost you in the long run :thumb:

Back to crushing duty. Which is the shits when it's cold.

Crushing 4"+ and 4"- rock right now.

Broke down most of the day yesterday due to a broken hydro line. Which is always fun to repair in 10° weather with snow blowing sideways.
