Use the old one as a guide and tack the end of the stock to the old auger. Now, heat the stock along the outside edge red hot perpendicular to where the stock contacts the shaft and bend the stock around the shaft. You only want to heat that area. Take your time and use clamps every once in a while to keep things straight.

I can't buy it, it's on a Massey Ferguson corn planter from the 60's. The only screw augers I have found have all been one way, I need a left & right hand because it feeds from the center out. I think I will try and make it myself, thanks for your info!

Did some looking around and found Massey / ACCO has parts manuals on line here (http://www.agcopartsbooks.com/PartsBooksN/Viewer/Default.aspx?).

Looks like you need part 46 from the fertilizer and hopper drive. Part number 441392M91.

Googled that number and found it https://www.jackssmallengines.com/jacks-parts-lookup/part/massey-ferguson/441392m91 Looks pricey at $256, and that is if they have it. I would suspect that it's not available like you state. You may find some small shop with one that has been holding one since the 60's.

A man gave me some D-rings several years ago and I finally got around to doing something with them. Bought a new gooseneck recently and decided to fix them to go in the stake pockets if I ever wanted to use them. Made some pins out of 3/4" stainless and stick welded them together then had them painted the lime green all my other hitches are.

Replaced valve cover seals on the lb7, while the big CNC lathe was slowly eating inconel 625:D

Pulled truck right up to my work station. Killing two birds with one stone.:woott:

I remember the first time i turned inconel :baby: wasn't to fun but was making baffles for a suppressor so it was worth it :thumb:
