Normal delivery day -- until -- toward end of day, Im pulling down a ~400yd driveway to a home. Wife is on the porch with her phone out, I think she's texting or talking to someone --- but she keeps "following" me with it as I approach the house.
"Oh f-ing great, she's videoing me" is what Im thinking.
So I get the truck turned around, and back up to the house. Walk thru the cargo area to open the back doors, as she had 5 large heavy packages. When I look out, yup, still pointing that phone at me. So I ask, "Are you videoing me?" "Yes" is the reply. "Could you please stop? I do not appreciate it" was my retort (b/c I dont!). She gives me this look --
-- and proceeds to shut the camera off without argument.
Now I dont know why she was doing it, and I didnt ask. Maybe she was just excited to see these boxes and was "telling" her friends on Facebook? I really dont give a crap. If I tripped up the stairs and dropped a box, what would happen? Use it as proof? I felt my rights as a person just doing my job were being violated.
On a good note, I was offered to buy a 1999 Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3, 190,000 miles, for $500. Runs perfect, just the frame broke under the drivers door and the truck is obviously not safe to drive. Im tempted to buy it, keep the engine and part the rest.
So anyway -- I had a nice day.
