Looking for a setup good for the above hp levels. Don't want to have to lean on the motor real hard to get there. Heard some people get there with 366/483, 371/gt4718, Danville 72/gt4718 etc. Any thoughts on the mentioned set ups or something better? Would still like to be able to tow 5-8k occasionally as well. Thanks, Nick.

I have two precision turbos a 71 and a 94, both ball bearing and billet wheels. My truck has made 1016hp and egts didn't go over 1500*. Spools fast even at my elevation and I could tow if I needed to. A smaller setup can make big power too but egts get pretty hot.

You are not going to make 1100hp with a 66/83 not way unless you run a piss load of nitrous

I like the idea of the danville 72 as the high pressure charger. Still get the benefits of VGT to spool but it will flow like crazy up top. What else is sone to the truck?

Getting all the parts together right now, Carillo rods, Mahle pistons, dual stock cp3, head/main studs, keyed crank and cam, SoCal valve train, 60-80 overs(40's currently), just gonna run stock flex plate and dampner.

Mine are kind of old school a 4094 over a 5533 with 100 over injectors and makes 1000 pretty easy and is very drivable but not 1000 hp on the street. 1000 hp on the street is not very drivable at least not for long.;)

Coulda swore Trent said 60's can get me there.

sure could, you could even do 1000hp on 45s with the right amount of air. problem is you run a high pw to achieve it. Its generally thought that bigger injectors with low pluse width at the HP you are trying to achieve will be eaiser on the motor in the long run.

triples imo
i would definitly go large then 60 over on the injectors to keep your pw down and still achieve your hp goal.
would most definitly recommend an aftermarket IC
if you plan on driving 1000hp on the street you better spend some money on driveline/transmission hard parts/billet stuff. i found all my weak points on a pretty regular basis but would have been a lot less hassle to do it all right from the get go.
also solid motor mounts is a good idea
