bcdeutsch731 is more than track verified as the most powerful and fasted VGT powered truck out there. 9.43@148mph on the tune that dynoed 960hp and it carries the front tires! EMiller and Verlon Southwich both run the 72mm VGT twinned with small injectors and are in the low 11's in crew cab daily driven trucks. I ran mid to high 11's with the 72mm VGT as a single on my stock lbz with 45%inj. Am I missing something here because these are real trucks getting the job done despite what some people think about VGT's capabilities.

as well as myself on just 80s with a s400 on top of it :woott:

I believe Maxxed Out arguably makes more passes without failure than any other truck out there racing regularly. Big power cones with big demands.

Totally agree, but running a heavy truck at those HP levels is going to be a very time limited event. obviously Max'd Out makes north of 1300 hp to the wheels now, but even at the 1000 to 1100 level an engine will not last that long. White Out will make that much, but I don't ever turn it up for more than a few seconds at a time, and you can not drive a truck on the street with those HP levels, unless you reall like being in the ditch.:D

600hp with no low end torque in the tuning gets squirrelly. I couldn't imagine trying to drive a twinned 1000hp truck around town.

Should I even put the money into it if its just gonna grenade within a year or two? Im sure this combo is gonna make big torque especially if it spools up early in the rpm's. You guys think with tuning, some of the torque could be pulled out down low so she doesnt die?

If you don't have the money to build it a second time do rebuild it it the first time :D if you wanted a low to mid 11 second truck 750-850hp a solid build should hold for awhile however once you cross that mark all bets are off. Do you plan on putting a roll bar in it? I don't under stand the desire for a 1000hp street truck... Street tires in 4wd aren't really going to hold that much power anyway. Let me tell you first hand a 700hp street truck with low torque lots the piss out of the tires from a dead stop.

Currently have a s475 over my stocker with 40over injectors so I know traction sucks up to about 50-60mph but in 4wd it hooks up great!

Guys break these engines at 750hp if someone is telling you you're going to have to build it once at 1000hp they are giving you false hopes. Sure some last substantially longer than others but these arent LS motors in a 2wd 3500 lb car. If I wanted 1000hp I would run forged pistons, and a great valve train and run high rpm and stay the f**k away from peak torque

My build has 50k miles with 20k of that towing. 300+ low 12 high 11 passes at 115mph, 3 half mile runs wide open. All this was done at 8000-8700lbs depending on the day. Ask Mr. Sickdiesel how I drive on the street. My smallest tune is over 700rwhp and that's my tow tune. I daily drive it on 800+.

That being said, it developed an issue at world finals, using 1.5 quarts of oil in 12 passes. Towed my trailer home from texas with it, and it's sitting at Adrenaline Performance's shop waiting for the motor to come out this week. We think it is an oil ring. Will know soon.

But as everyone is saying, if you can't afford to build it twice, build it once and don't turn it up over 700hp. Have a good shop build it and don't be cheap on parts. If it is an oil ring on my truck, that sucks that a $20 part took me down. Oh well, we will build it stronger and faster......I hope.;)

100 psi is really good! How fast does it spool? Im assuming really quick being a VGT,Im just curious as to what made the decision to go VGT?

I know this is a different animal but my stock lly had close to 3:1 DP on stock tuning, but this was at lower RPM not at peak is this a case with the bigger VGTs?

anywho its still impressive what you have done:thumb:

Oh and to the OP......IMO you dont run 1000hp on the street, you just break parts and cant keep it straight, 4X4 is even pointless i would break all 4 tires loose

Yes, it spools very fast for a turbo that big, faster than S472 and A5K. The decision to go/stay with the vgt on Brett's truck was simple, didn't want to give up its street manners since he still drives it on the street alot and I was more than sure I could do both for him and we more than succeeded. Anything more than 750hp on the street is usually not safe. I have had the pleasure of doing quit a few 1000hp street driven trucks and it just turns into how fast can you start a 4x4 drift, pointless and unsafe as hell but sure is fun, lol!
