It may suck Adam, but I say pull it apart. Do it right or do it twice imo

It does suck but it will be right and you wont have to worry about the wht if . i had to fix couple things myself as well :D

Like I told you on the phone I would go back into it. It only makes sense to me that the pistons you have where they don't belong are the same ones that you had to turn the rod over on - but it's your motor and your money so it's all up to you.

so i should send the block back to guy to go .060 over as well too fixe #1 cylinder???????


worst case i get psiton slap...

it aint come back apart right now it will later. mainly i dont have hte time/money to sit here and do that.
out side the short block alot of stuf is being cheap man doen so i can get it home

engine is bolted in the truck and waiting fluids... need to get two IC boot clamps seams i have lost two.

some close friends of mine setup a surprise going away get to gether that i was required to attend... he offered to contiue working on getting stuff done on the truck. iirc only thing left is coolant, prime the oil system, a minor fuel leak and front facial is all that is left.

dave has really been a godsend for me as of late from letting me store my truck on his land to almost the full run of his shop. were i have been doign all this work. along with my 75 k25 and my 79 malibu letting me do various preventive manitnace and repairs too both vehicles. to coming out to fect my truck xmax eve weekend in 07, meating me in malibu to get my maibu while heading back form helping johny assemble his long block when i lost a couple VLV springs. i owe this man alot :hug: :alc: :beer

:beer glad to help out and learn some new things

this morning was not a good startout for adam first stop at the dealership to find the CAC clamps, the starter in his 75 craped out lost about a a hour to git that resolved and the dealer did not have the clams in stock but a hose place down the road should have them in stock im at my work but i think shortly the motor will be lit and he'll be dooing donuts in the field lol

If no one has the CAC clamps, Napa sells them and not only are they cheaper but IMO they are better than oems. They are made by bulkamp

i fould the orignal clamps plus got 2 extra

truck runs shakes lees then oem setup got a couple wierd fuel leaks to chase other then that it runs and drives:driving:
