On a lighter note...

I've smashed the gym the last two mornings. Get there about 5:30am and go to town. Yesterday was rows and squats. 100 total squats with 50 being weighted. 8@225 was biggest weight but they were full depth and felt good. Finished out with stretching and cardio.

Today was traps/ shoulders and destroy calves then stretching and more cardio.

Now I just need to get my diet lined out..

Back is doing good. Since I started this shortcut 2 size program from Jim Stoppani I've trained core alot and it's helping immensely. As long as I don't sleep on my stomach anymore I'm fine, that seems to make it tender. Stretch like crazy and been lifting heavy as I can in the rep ranges it calls for. Squatted 135 today...1st time since sophomore in high school so that felt good. Next week I go heavy on everything and only 3-5 reps so I get to try 155-165 on squats...should be interesting but I use a belt just in case.

That's good numbers in bench. Last time I tried 1 rep max was like 6 months ago and that was 185-190 I think. Did you have to but more weights yet?

Good to hear man, and good on ya Brock, to keep at it, figure out what's causing some.of the issues that are holding ya up/causing tender/tightness and make progress! Man, core strength is so crucial for the back and everything we do, if ya think about it, it's the support for our entire body, keeping the upper, lower and front to back tied together and working in harmony ;)

Lol, no man, I haven't bought more weights yet...I did pick up a few extra 10's and 5's, and a couple 2 1/2's when I bought bent curl bar, think I've got a grand total of 345? And a few differant sizes of dumbells...that's definately enough to keep me pacified for a while! Although, I would like a heavier set of dumbells

And, THANKS man, I'm pretty stoked to be making some progress myself. It feels good and so do I. Someday I hope to be able to bench 300. That's my long term goal and I do believe it's attainable with the proper ethic...

No, you're not:thumb:
Pu$$y would be giving in...

It's not a matter of IF we fall, rather making the choice to get back up WHEN we do:angel:

As long as you have a goal and making strides to attain it, you're moving in the right direction! I don't like to set time frames on stuff like this, but rather focus on how I feel about what I'm doing, how my body reacts...and what the dude in the mirror looks like ;) goal or not...Numbers are just numbers

Havent updated recently, still going strong. Threw squats into the mix 2 weeks ago. Doing pretty well. Had no issue doing 6rx3sx135. Gonna keep it light for another 2 weeks then start adding weight. Ill get a video this week to make sure Im not doing anything weird. Gained another 2 pounds and bumped my eating up. Today is deads and I cant wait. Gonna try 225 and see how it looks/feels.

Moved real nice:thumb: Buried the sh*t out of it too.

Pretty explosive! Made it look like a warm up rep!!

Thanks guys!

I am kicking myself for not tossing 495 on it and attempting that, but 3 success attempts are a nice start to the intense cycle.

Box squats, anyone have a good info for setup etc? Never done em, usually they are for gear whores.

I don't see how all y'all lift and workout everyday and the weights you do. I applaud you. We went to the zoo yesterday and walked what seems like 5 miles and carrying a 4 year old on my shoulders some of the way and pushing the baby in the stroller when the wife had the son walking with her. My legs are killing me, lol.
