TS has been alot better the last 2 years, and I saw a big improvement in the schieds event this year as well cut down on the partying

It was one of the best advertised FAILs in diesel history a few years ago.

"Let's be a bunch of drunken reckless idiots at events" was posted all over CompD, if you said anything, you were shouted down. Perry and the staff there egged it on.

Then when it went out of control, they looked puzzled. :spit:

Hotrod events ALWAYS have some drunken craziness with them. You just DON'T promote that part. That is nothing new, and should not have caught them by surprise. It wasn't a lack of security, it was a lack of common sense before the event by those who are looked up to.

At the TS event the drags races this year was really calm didnt see anything out of the way and the only thing I seen at the truck pull was a red ford spinning in the grass and blowing some smoke and then I seen dennis perry come in flying down the hill on a rzr and jerked that boy out of his truck and the cops took him to jail, and some of the sponsors bitched a little about ppl cutting down the banners that was hung on the fence next to the track but they used them for a roof because it had rained all day and it was pretty cold but I never saw anybody pack one off

I agree it was VERY calm there IMO even compared to SDX with the added police, I heard it got pretty wild at Burlington.

It's really dependent on how you present the event beforehand.

If you promote it as Burning Man, you get a different audience than if you promote it as the Winternationals.

You'll get more attendance at Burning Man, but at what cost? You are going to attract a large number who are coming just to get wasted.

I see diesel competition (and motorsports in general) as a family-oriented activity. The partying should be off-site. I like a beer (or two) after an event, but I do understand events that outlaw all alcohol as well. It's never hard to find a place to drink afterwards or the night before.

Wade your attempt at smack would be so much better if you would use spell check.:thumb:

Aren't you just a little bit embarrassed about calling your truck the fastest or quickest Pro truck, (whatever the hell that is)? It clearly has not earned that distinction yet.

Spelling is my downfall, i admit that all day long.

However i do have the fastest prostock diesel to ever grace the 1/8th mile 4.90, this makes it the fastest in the world...period. Yep i posted the time slip and the video, all legit.

And it's the fastest for NADM too, but why do we have to keep going over this???

Next year we have bigger plans, this year was nothin....

So if somebody has a faster 60' time, or 330' time, they become the fastest?

Because an 1/8th mile is just test-n-tune for real dragracing. ;)

The world is ready to see it in person, If I had the (Fastest ProStock Diesel Truck) you could bet that everybody would get to see it make a pass next to another prostock diesel

Well I for one would love to see you go heads up against what the rest of us consider the quickest prostock trucks those being Banks and Darren. There are others being built that should add to the excitement. I highly suggest that you attempt to attend a few NHRDA events next year if possible so you can make the World Finals. It's damn expensive to travel to these events I know for a fact. But if you truly want to be considered the quickest then you have to race the current quickest and beat them. You have a great truck, let it do your talking for you, because I would think your foot is getting damn sore with all those bullet holes.:D

Naw, 1/4 mile is for guys who cant drive, and need room to make up for there lack of ability to tune/ build for a strong front half....:roflmao:

No body races to the 60 or the 330, unless it's dirt drags....However the fastest door cars on the planet run all 1/8th mile (ADRL)(outlaw)(radial), guess there records are alll hogwash too....

Again i'll say this...i went to the races...and announced weeks-months before hand where i was going to be.............WHERE was everyone else???

I love these threads. Productive in any way, nope, lots of fun to read, you betcha. As far as Wade making it to a race, would I go to a race because he was the only diesel there? No way. If there were lots of other trucks there, slow or not I would go. And if I were Wade, (glad I'm not) I would get on every website and egg this on too. If they're talking about you, good or bad, its still pulicity :woott:

I go to biker events also, so drunken idiots doesnt bother me, at least they have clothes on at the diesel events, I saw your truck pull at SDX this year and I went straight home and bought a 3rd Duramax to build as a dedicated puller.

Glad i could have such an impact. Now you can blame me for all the money down the drain.:D

The drinking has calmed down a lot at both events. If you cant overlook the drinking that happens there, you werent coming for the right thing anyways. With over 40 2.6 trucks in attendance at ts, and over 60 at SDX they are still the biggest events in the country even after cutting down on drinking. NADM kills their sled pulling events with gay rules, which kills pretty much the spectator side of the whole event. Hopefully they fix that this year, but with the other events already signing with PPL, it might be too late.
