Why don't you come to any of the big events like Scheids, TS, or Fass Diesel Nationals?

Here's my guess, since it's hard to get the "whole truth and nothing but" out of Wade:

He didn't get his 1/4 mi issue fixed until late season, so most of the year was 1/8th only events.

Could be wrong, just a hunch.

I would also like to see it at Scheid or TS

In defense of Wade, I must say that TS Performance isn't racer-friendly. The owner has posted that he would ban racers he doesn't like from events he sponsors. That isn't how an event sponsor should advertise publicly. It's bad for the sport and makes us all look like ignorant hicks.

It costs a lot of money to get to the racetrack, and it would suck to be denied the ability to race once you get there. Too big a risk to make it worth packing up the gear. So I'd never blame any racer for not attending a TS event, that's completely understandable.

Kat and I have raced at Beech Bend (Bowling Green, KY, where TS is held) and I like the layout, whole amusement park, the town (everyone was very friendly), and all that, but when we were racing there, the track was slick as hell. Kind of neat to grab third (manual) and pitch it sideways, but not everyone enjoys that. We had lots of experience with bad traction, but not everyone does. One of our friends center punched the wall in a supercharged vette at 1/2 track and we towed him home to St. Louis.

We had a blast, and hope to run there again someday. Just not at a TS sponsored thingy.

Theres so much bad blood in the diesel community, and it stops many of us from being able to see some of the best equipment and trucks, TS is close for me and so is Scheid.

Hopefully someday everyone will come to terms and work out their disagreements.

I would rather sit at home and do nothing than spend my time and money going to TS. Maybe it's just different in the west?

I havent been to too many big events but I didnt think it was a waste at all, and plan on going again next year.

I have no personal ties with Dennis nor any of the sponsors but any time I get an opportunity to go to an event within a reasonable distance ill do me best to attend.

Is there much better events elsewhere? I would be willing to travel farther if its that different..

It's usually the NON-racers that wreck things. Perry doesn't race himself, at least not at any event where I've raced and he was there, which I think is 4 events? Maybe more.

Sure there is smack talk on the interwebbythingy, but few if any of the racers will bring it to the track. They have more important things to do that day.

Believe it or not, I'd shake Wade's hand and buy him a beer after a race. People who have raced with me will attest to that.

You only went to NADM races that were on the east coast(3). You never run side by side with anyone at them races. The better questions is how many side by side races did you run? NONE! You never raced anyone in compition! Time runs don't count for compititon. Don't lie I was there. Jeff

Why do you come off as if you know exactly what i have and havent done? You dont know squat about me at all. just so you know...i raced terra haute, ohio 1 and ohio 2, and numidia pa east coast nationals, for NADM where were you?

BTW who cares if it's side by side or not....i did in ALL my IHRA races, have side by sides......but as for the NADM races this certainly is not my fault, im doing my part by showing up and racing several times down the strip.....WITH out oiling down the track...

Exactly! That and constant transmission failures side lined us a lot.

Once again, Exactly! Family first in my book, if they cant go, i wont go.

I wouldn't drive a tow rig down that track, it's a piece of crap and dangerous.

Exactly i went there first of the year, people were nuce, but the track sucks very bad and we will never go back, unless at gun point...LOL

I seen wade twice at both national trail raceway NADM events. Only one 1/4 mile pass was made and maybe 3 or 4 1/8 mile passes.....None were racing someone side by side.

I'll admit to being skeptical on his "50 passes" stuff.

While I normally do 5-20 passes in a day depending on how busy the track is, I have my doubts he's doing that many.

On a weekend in Texas, we ran over 30 passes in Casper with 3 different drivers in the 10's, Kat, Ralph, and I. We were hot lapping a lot.

I seem to remember seeing Dennis Perry post a couple of different times that he would not allow Wade to race at his event.
