Billet block :thumb:

But for the average Joe.
Billet internal balance crank
SFI neutral balance flexplate and dampener (ie. pulley at that point)
Tony's rear cover/adapter
Howard's rods
Mahle Monotherm Pistons and rings
Clevite bearings
Billet Caps/Main studs/Girdle
Head studs
Oil pump (???)
Socal's best heads
Upgraded Pushrods
Performance Cam (chosen by turbo(s), converter, and primary usage choice)
Profab manifolds and Up-pipes
Race thermostats or electric driven water pump
for starters

I'd say in you're going to build one full blown any engine will work. LBZ and up blocks are stronger though, as far as that goes.

If I build a motor for my truck as a DD I'll probably skip on the heads and just upgrade the springs and run a mild cam. Spend the extra money on a nice turbo setup and just hit it with some N2o when I take it to the track...

Balanced rotating assembly
Carillo or Crower rods
Delipped / Coated LB7 pistons
Stock head / Beehive springs
HD pushtubes
Mild cam from Socal
85% over single CP3
60% over nozzles
Main studs / Head studs
Gated S366
AllSeason 3" highflow bridge
Profab cast manifolds / up-pipes

Thats my mild street build :spit:

I was just talking to James this weekend about the motor for the Mormon Missle, and about Curtis had into that thing....pretty bare-bones by most standards, but if I understand correctly, it was held at 1800 flywheel hp for 30 minutes on a dyno and tore down and inspected. It went right back together with the same parts as I understand it too. ;)

Come to think of it, my own motor is similar: It was run in the 09 Dirty Hooker, tore down, the heads and bearings were sent to Guy, Injectors tested at Exergy, all were like new so they all are now in my truck as they were when it was torn down
