There are several running twins w/ the s475 ungated on the LB7s that have no problems.

Im running a cheap Tial knockoff on my LBZ.

I started with a 1.10 Ar exhaust and a 50MM wastegate, now I have a 1.32 exhaust and no gate. I'm thinking about putting the wastegate back on, I'm making 62 pounds of boost on my race tune :ralph: , but I don't want :shifan: with headgaskets......

Why did you decide on a 50mm wastegate? I see that Bako is only using a 38mm, but you are both using the same size charger (1.32ar) Any benifits to using a bigger one?

he had it from his twin build that had a different atmosphere charger with a tighter a/r on the exhaust hsg and wanted to dump the drive psi faster with the bigger gate. I use a 40mm jgs gate and i have drive psi within 1-2 psi of boost and drive psion my lb7. Vgt turbo trucks drive psi wise will be different(a little higher)

Ill be hooking up a DP gauge soon, right now I cant argue whether or not that the 38mm is doing a good job. My EGTs never get above 1400* on a race tune I got from JoshH..

Different Turbos

I noticed that some of you guys have changed your big chargers around a little just wondering what everyone has tried, what characteristics did each one have? I'm currently looking at the standard S475 from BW airwerks with a 1.32 ar but it looks like there is some different turbine size options around just not sure what to use. I may need to go with a smaller charger to since I will be running the stock IHI and it will need to pull over 10,000lbs alot during camping season.

First I ran a 1.10 Ar housing with 83mm turbine wheel, this worked great on smaller tunes but with race tunes the 1.32ar/96MM turbine work better at WOT. Back pressure got pretty high with the small turbine wheel.

the s475 with the 1.32 hsg will be just great with the ihi for towing. The the 88mm/96mm exhaust wheel on it flows very well

Thanks again for the replies guys I've asked alot of questions in the two twin turbo threads everyones been really nice, I was expecting some flamage at some point. I have been reading up on some turbo math there is plenty out there for single or twin turbos but not much for compounds.

BOV's

I have not really read much about twin kits with BOV's except maybe a couple MPI's, is it hard to bark the big charger? I know the only time on my LB7 I can bark the stocker is at the end of a pull or parking lot burnouts when the truck has no speed to keep the motor spinning. What Im asking is do daily driven throttle chops or full throttle pass throttle chops bark these?

Doing a burn out I can bark mine , but when i let off at the end of a run there is no bark , so ya you can bark them but not super easy , it is about the same as a stock truck . The BOV is nice and adds insurance , I will add one to my truck one day but def not a necessity
