What were you running when you bent the rods on that lb7?

I was running a A5K and dual fuelers. I had a switch for the program (different levels). It was on fuel only. Funny thing was, it still ran like normal and ran great. Who knows who all is running around with bent rods and don't even know it (till one day). I know some have seen it higher before they suspect rods. The compression test gave it away for me (the same pistons are cut and now in my built motor).

So what do you guys think is the "safest" turbo for me to run, while making some decent power. Im looking to be able to hit 600hp but de tune it for daily driving to try and keep the motor as long as possible. The HTT seems like a great option.

MI, NC, now Hawaii
HTT 64 or 66, GT4088 or 4094

i think you can really blow your motor up with any of them but id say your best bet would be HTT that is waste gated. might save you a little time :hug:

the cheetah 68mm would be a good choice for you, but if you do want a Htt, give Pat a call, he can fix you up :)

I have the HTT and love it. Responsive and great sound. If I had the money to be more flexible I would have seriously been looking at a 4094.

Have you ever taken it to the track and run it?
What size HTT do you have and do you really think the 4094 would be alot better

HTT is a 66mm. No tracks up here but I will tell you with the same tune and stock vs HTT the HTT definatly felt alot faster and smoothed the tune out somewhat. I would only go 4094 for something a little bigger.

you should probably build your transmission before any turbo upgrade though:D

Hah I know I know. Ill be sending it off to Mike L in the first few weeks of March. It should have been built a long time ago. Im just lookin at all the options for when i have the money for a turbo and my trans is built
