Sure... having witnessed them first hand in action, I thought I would be someone who could actually offer a good opinion on them...

What's up with the "you"?

Just meaning that the person that drives the truck decides.

NOT the tcm:)

Ive personally delt with issues on the TCM and no matter how much or how loud you scream, it still does what it wants.

After 900 its a whole new game:( the allison has a mind of its own....Just sayin

The TCM on the 6speeds is extra finicky in my experience as well... Just floor it and the TC will just couple, and not lock... then next gear shift it may decide to lock.

First time I thought all my clutch packs were slipping, freaked me out.

so did the LBZ's until EFI Live added the tables in an update several years ago

no nick, traction control is not the same thing as stability control. 2009+ duramax's actually had full electronic yaw/stability control.

The 'traction control' mode (put the trans in M and select"2") on the LBZ's is a joke, I have yet to see it work at all on any LBZ's.

my box will make it lock at 200hp or 2000hp. It has been run and tested on some very strong trucks and I have not heard any complaints or people saying "it doesnt lock when I press the button"

Simon whats it gonna take, do you want me to send you one free to test? Will that shut you up?

All this info is cool, and the arguing interesting, you guys seem to have a ton of experience which is great. If each of you could take a few mins to comment on my experience it would be helpful for me as the thread has taken on a new direction lol.

My 6-speed does the same thing as yours. I always just atributed it to the fact it has 110 000km all hard miles with stock clutches and minimal maintenance lol! Or that it was my terrible tuning causing the problem.
Re-setting taps is something I would like to try to see if it makes it better or not.

Coming to work today playing some more, it feels alot better than it did before the taps reset so maybe it just had something goofy going on. I'll keep this updated.

Well atleast I know my traction control wasn't broken on my truck

But these trucks do some odd things. One that annoys me the most is hitting the throttle and the long delay before it actually goes, not sure if thats from the trans or the ecm

Whos duramax has 2000hp, That you tried the box on?

Ben its not that i think you faild!, It is a TCM issue:( Get a truck at 900+ and see for your self.

Its a whole diff ball game, That your not even a bat boy for.

OMG SIMON. You have no idea how this stuff works. Even if you unplugged the TCM completely from the truck, my box would still lock the converter.

Mine controls the f-trim solenoid independently. IT DOESNT NEED THE TCM FOR HELP. Get that through your head. What the TCM does or wants doesnt mean crap because as soon as you press the button, the TCM isnt even physically connected to the TCC solenoid anymore.

Kelly/bigbird has one on his truck. No, I cant say its on any "dyno proven 1000hp" trucks, most of them are sled pullers. Im sorry I dont have my own badazz 1000hp truck like the big boys to 'acid test' my own stuff on.

I would rather put my money into R&D of new and better products than have a big bad fancy loud drag/pulling truck with subpar products and service.

Trent I offered to send you one too but never really heard anything back. All people do is whine and complain about these problems, so OK, I devise this widget to solve the problem. Then I bring it out on the market and offer it and all everyone says is "eh meh hmmm no thanks/thanks anyway ben, it probably wont work only because nothing else has"

I give the thing a 100% money back guarantee, what does everyone have to lose? Ive sold a whole boatload of them and other than Anthony's box supposedly having a bad push-button, I have yet to hear of anyone saying it doesnt work or they wanted to return it.

anywho, turbojamie, i have never had any issues with my precision not locking up like it should but im also a 5 speed (if that makes any difference). resetting the TAPs should help with your issues and probably fix it. The only issue is when your done beating on it (driving WOT all the time to get it to shift good) the trans will start to learn how you drive easy and if you drive easy for a long time and then jump on it to WOT you may notice some weird shifts. Those will get better again as you drive it under WOT but once you go back to easy driving it will start to learn that again. This is why i try to do my WOT runs with T/H on as its separate from the regular mode and will "save" your WOT driving so to speak. How long it will save it that way i dont know and if you tow alot with T/H it does you no good as it learn over your WOT runs.

ITs never gunna shift perfect all the time, everytime.

I must have some sort of super TCM or something. Mine never shifts funny at WOT unless I change tunes. As far as I know the TCM has separate TAP cells for different throttle positions. It shouldn't change the TAPs for WOT unless you change the WOT fueling.
