**Update**

So again I notice my truck doing the same ol

Roll into it with T/H on at 30 MPH and it will rock and roll, do the same without T/H from a dead stop or from 30 to 50 mph and it will not lock the tcc until 70+ MPH.

Roll into it in 5th or 6th locked and she goes fine, or if I am driving in non T/H and use the tap shift and drop it into 4th it just flat out flies.

Was getting worse at the no TCC BS so I did a taps reset drove it around tonight and its locking perfectly again. What is with that, will it get all screwed up taking it easy since our roads have been snowy? I have put about 1000 km on it over the last week with dry roads running it harder but it never got better, did a taps drove it a bit feels mint. What gives?

does the tcm have some form of rudimentary AI which honors trans safety at all costs, no matter what is happening i.e towing, racing or running away from underwear gnomes?

it does get old

So resetting your taps fixed it?

Mine sounds like pretty much the same as yours. I ordered a Allilocker last Monday, called yesterday to find out were it in shipping and found out parts to build it are on backorder. So who knows when I'll get it.

Its quite frustrating Im sure its not hard parts its just the stupid TCM doing its thing. Funny though a taps reset fixes it up at least temporary. I hate when my truck doesn't lock the tcc and get things going. The most annoying I find is if Im doing 60 mph and I have to slow down for a town or something to 40 mph my truck still stays in 5th unlocked ofcourse. Roll into it hard and it will stay unlocked till 70+ mph, anything under about 1/2 throttle and it locks right away and rips.

According to Ben ( duratothemaxi) self proclaimed allison expert. The TCM has no effect on the funky shifts :) he is the smartest person EVA!!!!

IMO your tuning is your issue in the ECM:)

When you say "temporarilly", how long is that? What do the taps adjust to if you read them out with a tech 2 after the problem "comes back"?

I don't own a tech II just EFI live.

I can't see tuning being an issue Rob's tuned alot of trucks.

doesnt mean the tune he sent will work for your truck, some trucks are picky. trust me, my truck is a SOB when it comes to the OS's it likes and how you tune the defuels. i cant run a tune that everyone else runs without having to change a few tables or OS

No but he can get you on the right road to get it diagnosed. If rob is thinkin its TC related and you bought all the stuff through mike, why wouldnt you call mike?

I hear ya but I consider it bothersome to Mike as I personally don't feel its either tuning or parts related, my feeling is the stupid tcm.
