This is all gonna pertain to NKTPA. I think WOP, if they are still around next year, is sticking with the same rules as last year which is 2.5 single CP3.
NKTPA added a Work Stock class that is 8500lbs, stock turbo(s) NOT just stock appearing. They can't be cheetah-type chargers. If the charger came as a twin on a truck, it must stay as a twin configuration. So, the big charger in the 6.4 Ford Twins can NOT be ran by itself. You can swap chargers within the same make of trucks but can NOT swap chargers from one make to another. And they have to be from 1-ton or less trucks. ex. can't put a duramax charger onto a powerstroke or Cummins. You can put a CR charger on a VE 12V and vise versa. No front hanging weights. Complete license/registration, functioning interior, etc. All the typical rules for a hitch - reese style, furthest point of truck, 26" high, bla bla bla.
NKTPA went to a 2.6 class for Street using NADM rules with three changes. (1) 8200lbs instead of NADM 8K. (2) no lincensing & registration rules (3) some type of FUNCTIONING kill switch mandatory on ALL trucks.
NKTPA took their 3.0 class down to a 2.8 bushed class with oe driveline. They did this to try and save the driveline and keep from having to go 3.0 open driveline and have Scheid type trucks come down and wax that ass all the time since those guys don't have many other close hooks.
Hopefully with those rules, our guys can go be competitive other places and plenty of out-of-state trucks should be able to come play with us some too. That was the motive - get on board with a few other places to have some more uniform rule-sets from region to region.
I think that's the gist of it. They have a new site going up
www.NKTPA.net but it's brand new and note completely up-to-date yet.
So, you all gonna bring the Orange Truck down to play a little??? There are several NKTPA pullers just across the river from you all in N.KY so you aren't that much farther. Should come down some. It's a really good circuit to run with IMO. You all staying 2.8 or going down to 2.6?
