Some of you may remember my other build thread, then it turned into a going back to stock thread, then a possible build thread. Well now it's official..the build is on.
Went to Custom Auto's dyno/dirt drag event up in Idaho Falls today. Signed up for the single turbo dyno class and laid down 754 horse on my stock motor..ended up getting bumped to 2nd place by jake (dieselmafiaper.lb7) by 16hp!! But hey, I won $250 cash and also ended up winning a $300 gift card to Power Labs or power tech...whatever you wanna call it...so anyways I'm happy! The season is about over so I said I was done pushing this poor motor before it really let's loose and damages the block and crank.
Needless to say I walked out of Custom Auto's shop tonight with a set of Carillos This build is officially on!
I originally picked up another block and crank to start with but I have since decided to scrap them as I don't want a block that has been bored so much and don't want to put money into them. So I will keep it stock bore and use my current block and crank.
I'm not going to go crazy with the engine...just your standard: rods, pistons (undecided on which ones), as well as main and head studs. Will most likely go with an altered firing cam as well, fingers cast pistons are the piston on my mind. Can't forget the valve springs too.
Will probably have my 30% injectors worked over alot bigger and keep it single turbo for now. I've already got dual cp3's as well.
My goal is to run a 10.99 and/or do 1000 horse on fuel only. I am very excited to start this journey and hope to have it up and running by the end of winter/early spring ready for the next season
Suggestions and criticism is welcome.
