Got the tracking number for my AF cam this afternoon and also ordered an 87mm turbine and a 1.0ar turbine housing to go with it.

My turbo should be up to the 1000 hp fuel only task no problem now:D

That is interesting. I've always seen lots of guys use this pump, but I am concerned about the high oil pressure. I may sell it in favor of a new gm pump.

Iv never used them on duramax engines but iv used melling pumps on pontiac and dodge engines that iv built. Both standard volume and high volume pumps and iv never had issues with their performance. I know, not a duramax, im just saying.

Seems most guys say I will be just fine with the melling pump, so I will keep it.

She's assembled and ready to get balanced. Hopefully my turbo guy can balance it and get it back to me today. Can't wait to test out the 87/1.0 vs the 83/.90

Ditched the 80mm compressor and went to a billet 11 blade 72mm compressor. The 80 was to lazy for my liking especially after the 87 turbine/1.0 housing.

Holy cow this turbo is badass now. Spoolup is night and day better with this billet 11 blade 72mm wheel. Absolutely love this turbo. I still have the 1.0 housing on it too. I can't even imagine how fast it will spool with the .90 turbine housing on there.

This 11 blade wheel has a sound of its own. Really high pitched and then at 30 psi it goes silent, literaly. Half tempted to leave the 1.0 housing on and call it a day. I could barely get the 80 to light trying to stage, now the boost comes right up no problem with the 72. Im really liking how the 11 blade wheel comes into and makes boost. I love this turbo!

Here is the 72mm wheel compared to the 80mm wheel.

The 80 wheel is from a company called turbo parts supply and the 72 is from MIC turbo...the 72 is made by KTS though. Turbo parts supply claimed they made the 80 in house.

Order some pipe and a bellow so I can plumb my wastegate in finally. Going to machine an opening in the pedistal spacer to feed the gate.

This 72/87/1.0 is still kicking ass. By far my favorite turbo I've ran to date.

I would advise you use stainless, just speaking from experience. After the gate could be mild if you wanted. Mild steel doesn't hand the heat or pressure very well

Really think it will be that much of an issue? I had planned to put the bellow on the inlet side of the gate. I would literally have 2 inches or less of the 90° elbow on the inlet side before the bellow.
