I can't have a single tune because it would be the kill tune always, I still catch myself towing on my 150 sometimes. I usually DD on my 150 tune just because the lower tunes have dog shit for bottom end pulling hills, last week I went to the 230 for good, best tune I have, prolly gonna be 2012 with the motor stuff all over again before long.

Damn good info in here. PIN it for LML owners.

Now onto the actual EFI Live aspect. I can log this now if I wanted to correct? I havent looked lately as Im using a LS1B controller usually in my other truck but I assume there is a LML option on controllers or is it numbers?

Also if anyone has a decent PID list to load up Id be more than happy to use it as Ive never dealt with a diesel and EFI Live. Wanted to know what RP is now and anything DPF related if it has it. Just want to look in there and see whats going on for a drive or two.

OK LML guys what tune are you using and what mpg in city? I stuck at like 13mpg on a good week. Still double my 8.1L but thought itd be better. Yes I know right foot but Im not in it that often. I often catch myself driving this a LOT easier than my other truck. Even on freeway which is weird. Maybe its the no noise....yet.

150 tune, Averages about 15.5 city/highway mix, Highway if I keep it under 75mph it will average just over 18mpg. I am lifted (4") and am running a 35" tire though so stock height and tires should be good for another 1-2mpg I would think.

13.6 in the city driving it like I stole it and hooking to boat trailers daily, plus I let it idle a lot. I have gotten 24.5 over a 150 mile average, no kidding, but I average 18.3 doing 75 and over 20 mpg if I keep it at 65 and over that if I run 55 mph. It's really insane how good the economy is now. I was averaging 7.7 stock in mixed use and 15.6 highway at 65 mph. I always run the race tune, so that might help me out, I am lifted on 35 Toyo MT's also.

I don't get how the mileage is so different.... I just got back from a 3500 mile trip and got 15.7 mpg avg for the trip. That's all calculated by me....not the truck. It's a crew cab long bed, 4x4 on 33's, 6 spd Alli. Has an ~40 hp tune in it. Had about 1k lbs in the bed.

Does a little bit of weight make that much difference. I've never seen 20+ in this truck. Saw it once in my old single cab lb7....but never this one or my 05. What's the difference??

The slitest little thing can affect mileage, idling, stop and go traffic like where I live Phx, stop signs and or traffic lights every 1/2-1 mile, climate, altitude.
The only way I'll see 20 is if I'm cruising about 65 on a nice flat freeway, re-set the ave mpg I'll see 20+ for a few miles. Then realitly sets in, the mileage starts dropping.

On another forum one member reported his mileage by doing this, he actually felt that was a legit way of checking and reporting his mileage.

On mine it's 13.5-14.5 city with a little freeway solo with 285/70R/17 Nitto G2, Cognito 4" lift, Diamond Eye DP, 4" turbo back exhaust.
My mileage was a little better when it was stock, 14.5-15.0.

Lml's get lb7 mileage when deleted and tuned properly. The 24 mpg was when I was coming down from the mountains, lol. But, 20 mpg is easily acheivable as long as a don't have a bad head wind. If conditions aren't favorable on the interstate (ie bad traffic, windy, etc..) it gets low 17's at 70 and high 16's over that. The delete made a huge difference on this truck, but I think mostly it is driving style. My economy shot thru the roof when I started driving around with my little boy...

Hell my economy goes to shit when Im with my 3yo boy... "Daddy go faster go faster"...haha. Kids about to get a job if he keeps that up.

ANyways Ive only made one trip on tank soley freeway coming home from Indy to Columbus and I didnt use whole tank so didnt hand calc but it was showing 20mpg on DIC which always seems to be about .5mpg off from every other fillup hand calculated. I check EVERY tank too. City still sucks but Im guessing its from having to put sooooo much input into throttle to get this thing moving. Like I said my 8.1L spoiled me so we will see how this tuning goes here REAL soon. Maybe next week or two. Cant stand it anymore.

And how often do you guys reset DIC mpg? I only done it once because it took FOREVER to get back to where I thought and knew was normal. Seems it stayed at like 8mpg for two tanks when they were actually 13mpg tanks hand calculated. Would be nice to have an INSTANT MPG like other vehicles have. Maybe Id be more conservative but I already drive this pretty easy.

I have been running the TorqueTech tune to delete my emissions and egr. I have not had any trouble with it since installation at 250,000 miles. Very easy to do, just plug in and follow the prompts. It has 4 performance settings - you can not adjust on the fly. I tried 1 - stock, which is better than stock (with new flow thru exhaust and erg delete), 2 - tow, a small increase in power same fuel economy for me, 3 - performance, which I run all the time for towing my 20' car trailer and there is 4 - race, which I have not used at all. Setting 3 gives me the best all around performance for my stock motor and transmission. I now have 401,000 miles and still no issues, truck runs great.:thumb:

Fuel mileage when not towing and just running around Phoenix, I will be around 16mpg. So much affects the mpg, but I usually average 13mpg when pulling my Aluma trailer loaded and 12mpg when pulling the BigTex trailer. In California, I won't see anything less than 14 mpg while towing. It is so rare to drive a tankful of fuel without a trailer attached to my truck, so I can not give you those mpg numbers.

stock 07 LBZ in PPEI tow tune I average 18mpg. I set my cruise for 75 and i have a 150mi roundtrip commute. Around town with tow/haul mode on I barely even touch the brakes. I wish my brake lights would activate with the turbo brake, I've had a bunch of close calls with people behind me not paying attention.
