It is really a shame that mark doesn't tune lml's. His LMM tuning is AWESOME. Nothing against any other tuners of course.

My buddy's H&S tuned deleted lml would throw the change fuel filter code on his 150 crank tune.

If the LML didn't have a lift pump running on the big tune it was WAY down on RP. Mine drops to 17k without a lift pump and holds 29 to 28 with it, it literally made as much of a difference as the tuning did. Tell your buddy he better get a lift pump...:D

I honestly never thought to ask him, just assumed when i told him he must have one with the lager tunes he did it all at once, after thinking about it doubt his tight ass did.

So if I run say a 110hp tune in the LML is that pushing needing a lift pump? If so which is a decent one? Guess I could search...

Damnit. I can see this spiraling out of control already. Gonna be like all you guys with all this shit :D

Probably don't need one at that level but definitely would recommend one anyway.. What you need is a cts insight to be able to read your rail pressure while your out running.. Then you will know when your pushing it to much.. But knowing you would have cleaner fuel by running a lift pump is worth some to me..

And yes tunes and a lift pump is the first of many steps! Lol

I have MotorOps tuning on my LML and have no complaints, although I have never had to deal with there customer service at all. I just ordered a Autocal online and installed the tunes.

Oh and FYI, MotorOps is the same as Duramaxtuner!!!

MotorOps has a working relationship with DuramaxTuner.
If you want DT deleted tunes then DT will refer you to MotorOps with DT's guidance on the tuning.
I started off deleted in 08 with Quadzilla, 3/2012 went with DuramaxTuner, 7/2012 ATP.
Going back and forth several times with my 3 tuners over those years, trying to pin point certain issues.
Now I'm back perminitly with DuramaxTuner. :thumb:

Back in 2012 I inquired with all of the EFI tuners that was in business at that time mentioned in this thread.
The only ones that would talk and explain EFI before I bought was DT & ATP.
All of the other EFI tuners with the exception of MotorOps, wanted my credit card number for the cost of EFI before they would explain anything.

If you want LML EFI deleted tunes in the USA the tuner choices is getting limited.
There are still some good EFI tuners out there that still do deletes.

If you called my company back in 2012 you would have spoken to me and I can tell you for a fact that we have never asked for anyone's credit card number to explain any of our products and services to anyone, period.

In fact we offer free updates to our tuning, so why would we ask for a credit card to explain EFI-Live to a potential customer ??

Kory willis tuning is what we use. Only had one issue after driving for over a year, a turbo senor would trip, one call later and kory sent a revised tune and no problem since. Drives really well, highly recommend kory.

This is good info for new people looking for good EFI tuners. :thumb:

With one of my tuners when I had a issue with a new tune I was always told it was something wrong with my truck, not in the tuning.
I would change tunes the problem went away and then eventually change to one of my other tuners, the problem was not there.
But still was told it has to be something wrong with my truck, it's not in the tuning.
I have NO DSP switch, single tunes loading one at a time.

There was 1 or 2 that I left a message at with my interest in EFI with no return calls.
Most of them did not want to do single tunes, only DSP5, I'm not interested in the DSP.

Who even uses the dsp lol race time for everything

I probably tune more dsp than singles. In reality a person rarely uses more than two of the tunes. The best part about dsp tuning in my opinion is that you can use dsp tunes to troubleshoot a problem in a unusual situation. Secondly it is much nicer to turn a knob than reload a tune as well as you can get the tranny and tunes more oriented than switching single tunes that have huge differences in them.

steve asked me that yesterday.

steve: you want a DSP2 tune and switch?
me: why?
steve: So you can swap between the race tune and tow tune.
me: steve, im on stock injectors with a ton of air.... the race tune will be my tow tune!
steve: No way! thats nuts!
me: and my "tow tune" you made me before that made 600rwhp wasnt?
steve: that wasnt a tow tune!!
me: exactly but now i have a taste for blood and there is no going down in HP!

:roflmao:

single tunes keep me out of trouble and my trans happier.

Just to give my 2 cents ... Tony is correct. We spoke a couple of times before we even talked about payment. Matter of fact I'm pretty sure he had my stock file and working on a dsp layout before I had paid. I had a couple things I wanted to change when I got my tunes and he even sent me an update the week of Christmas in 2014. The people that are harder to get a hold of doesn't always mean you should write them off automatically. George Alexander isn't the easiest to get a hold of but I wouldn't have anybody else on the east coast build my transmission after dealing with him a couple times. Granted I have been out of automatics for a while now so some new builders may have come up on the east coast that are great to, just sharing my opinion

You haven't met Evan from Limitless Diesel yet than. Awesome guy to deal with. Actually answers the phone unlike George, and builds a hell of trans.

I noted that I'm sure other builders have surfaced since I was into diesel performance. I have heard nothing but great things about Evan. :thumb:

Been running Rob's tunes for about 5 years now. I was visiting relatives in Boise and decided to have him tune my truck for me while I was there. Been a fun truck ever since. He did the tuning himself, even gave me a fun "loaner" truck to drive while he was doing it. His business has grown a lot since then but everybody I've heard says customer service and tunes are still top notch. :thumb:
