getting ready to bite the bullet here.
my goal is to at least get the damn thing running.

my build will consist of:

DuramaxTuner rods (i would've used LB7 rods, but these are better)
LBZ pistons (cut and coated)
lb7 heads + injectors
LLY harness
LLY cooling system
LB7 CP3
LML ECM
LLY intake
Holset HW35Y turbo
LLy intercooler
Everything keyed
LB7 crank
LLY/LB7 Y-bridge + runners
LML exhaust with all the goodies still intact
and finally to put all this power to the ground: ATS EXTREME 5 speed Allison

Let me know if i forgot any must have part!

I have heard nothing but good things about that combination. The LB7 injectors are a higher voltage than the LMM ECM is used to, but you can simply hook up your 2 batteries in series instead of parallel to solve that. Cheap, proven fix!

I think the LML ECM is a better option, but it's your build...

I really like how you're using a Cummins turbo. Maybe you could add a little Ford in there too? I was thinking 6.0 head bolts and gaskets would make a nice addition.

Who says there's anything wrong with it? He likes it so much he wants to use it in his custom, best of the best, motor build.

Haha... IIRC Pat did run LBZ pistons in a race engine for testing purposes :D
