Are you gonna whine and bitch like the other nwdiesels guys or are you worth talking to ? I don't care much for whiney little babies.

No dude I dont whine. I just get sick of everyone callin out BHaner and always given the guy a hard time. He is a great person and has made a few video's years ago and everyone has to break his balls over it. Camotanker on the other hand I dont give a crap about. You can smash him in the head and I will hold him for you. BHaner and him are "NOTHING" alike!!!! In fact BHaner may be at truckfest with me. So yeah I will meet you I have no problem with that.

Flagging or no flagging, it doesnt matter. A few will never smoke, some will change there idea and stop smoking and some will keep it up. But also there is more and more people just getting started. They can make laws to prevent it but it still wont stop. There are laws for everything and there broken everyday, all the time by more and more everyday.

Honestly I could care less about it anymore. People are going to do what ever. I will do what I feel is right and leave it at that. I am not going to go around and babysit America and tell them you gonna F it up for us. Its going to happen either way. there not going to stop diesels from running at the track, there going to stop the smoke at the track. And I and every tuner out there that races, will adjust there tune for a non smoking run, simple as that.

Smoke up your neighbors if you want, even if its illegal, but end the end, when you grow up and look back you get to feel your regret.

Lets move on can we? This is not the DP, there is plenty of server room over for this junk. (and dont get cocky and say "if you dont like it dont read it") :bootyshake:

I figure that only a handful of people actually understand the point I was trying to make by not agreeing with what Tank and friends are doing, so let me try to hash it out again. This is Part 1...

1) I do NOT support smoking out individuals, bicycles, motorcycles, Prius's, hippies, dogs, etc. Its just plain stupid to do, its unsafe and it reflects badly on the entire diesel community.

2) I do support taking a pro-active approach to changing the "culture" that has evolved since 2001, when big smoke was considered "ok". But its going to take a lot of education and effort to teach people who do said "smoke outs" to change their ways. I felt that making calm, constructive comments on the YouTube videos would go a lot farther to get our point across than having the videos removed.

3) Starting up an internet forum "lynch mob" to get the videos censored off You Tube just because they show people smoking out others is/was not the right way to get the point across, and heres my thinking why:
a) Once the videos are removed, then you've only "swept the problem under the rug" so-to-speak. You havent addressed the root cause, you've only "hidden" it. The original videographers will either get ticked off and repost the vids, or push to do something even more outrageous.
b) Since the videos are now gone, any constructive comments on those videos would are also removed, effectively wrecking the opportunity to "teach" the general public that doing "smoke outs" isnt what 99.9% of the diesel community accepts or condones.

4) This also ties back to my original thoughts about censorship. Josh touched on it, Mackin did too. In the end, who decides when something is "offensive"? Sure, we can all agree that certain things are just plain indecent or offensive (one person touched on child porn and beating on children, and I agree those are offensive) and should be removed. But...the actual videos of smoking are only that...videos. Ive seen worse things on YouTube than that.

5) Even 2 years ago we'd all think that smoking videos were funny if they were posted. You can look at ANY of the diesel sites, whether it be TDG, DP, DD, DF, TDS, NWB...no matter what the site, there are 100's of smoke vids on it. And in almost all cases, not one single person ever comments, "Hey, that isnt too cool", or "That is pretty rude". Nope...its all "Attaboy" or "Way to go".....so think about that. We've all had a hand in "promoting" smoke in one way or another....so now we all have to have a hand in distancing the general community from it.

Sorry, got to take the daughter to the store...be back later....
