James you could probably give Madmax a little insight into what good trans tuning will do for your shifts

Haha well i had some very reputable/smart guys help fix my shift issues. Tuning can make or break these trannys. Ive yet to have a sloppy or bad shift. She clicks them of very quick and nice now even with 37s and 7800lbs. The tc locks right up like its suppose to under wot in normal mode as well

The Allison is a great trans. Its the idiot tuners that don't know what they are doing that make them shift poorly. Then they blame it on the tcm, the trans itself, the converter they are running, who built it, etc etc. Tuning is so critical on an Allison and no one wants to take the time to make it right.

AJ, I almost agree but there are mechanical failures Quite a bit of the bad stuff is tuning. BUT not always.





And FWIW people its the ECM tune that makes the difference......Not much in the TCM that can help.

And it is obvioulsy not dodge.....So that leaves ford Doubtfull after seeing what OVAL racers did to there full built trannies:rofl:
