Here is one of the new frictions we will be offering here in 2013. This is a double sided carbonite C3 friction using the same material found on our C1's from Alto. We've had these in testing for about a year now and have had great results/feed back.

Any kits with pricing laid out yet? Definitely interested

How are these different than the Gmax clutches?


It's no Secret that we have recieved some complaints stating that the single sided C3's gmax frictions "warp" in the higher HP applications/builds. We are hearing about this most specifically in the Kit builds. These Double sided frictions will take care of that issue and then some if installed correctly. These are an Upgrade for the Gmax kit and are available by request. These have been in testing for over a year and have also been in higher than "usual" hp applications for full race seasons/numberous dyno events. Upon removal, they still looked and performed like the day they were installed.
We are always looking to improve our products when/where we can and always take into consideration what we hear from our customers for feedback. With that being said, this is what was designed,tested and put into production upon testing data/results. Hope that answers your question :thumb:

I was thinking the Gmax kits were changed over to 2 sided clutches already. I guess that's where my confusion came from. Thanks for the info.

How much is my gmax gonna hold before im gonna ruin this kit? Will i need to upgrade soon

Who built it? what are the clearances? How long has it been in? How heavy is your right foot? How hot are your tunes? I had gmax in my truck for 6 months of abuse, took it out for a new test trans. No issues what so ever. 366/480 twins, 100 over injectors, dual pumps. built motor. Trans was built in house

G-Max double sided Carbonite frictions are now available in C3 and C4. March 1 All G-Max kits sold will have Double sided C3.

We've also released a new "All Raybestos" trans kits. everything is slowly getting up on the site. We still have Much more to release :D

Parts included are:

C-1- Custom stepped apply plate, (8) GPZ C1 external clutches, (8) GPZ internal splines clutches with a custom C1 top plate.
C-2- Custom stepped apply plate with (7) C-2 GPZ frictions and (7) steels.
C-3- includes our (6) SCZ double sided frictions with no center slots and a pattern in the material to help retain oil to cool clutch when it’s not applied. (5) Custom steels with no center slots. This design works great in your daily driver, towing and even your extreme race conditions. SunCoast has also redesigned the apply piston with improved rubber compounds that are proven to hold more heat if the circumstances arise. The custom piston allows us to use our thicker spring apply plate that replaces the thin OEM one deflects from the spring pressure and causes a uneven surface for apply. This plate also redirects the oil to better lube plates from the inside out which lubes the entire friction rather than OEM style that lubes from the center out leaving the inter half of the clutch burnt. Top apply plate is also machined and included with kit.

*C5 clutches are NOT included do to the fact they are normally good to re-use unless the unit has been contaminated by water or other foreign elements. C5 clutches are optional and can be added to our kit upon request.

Other parts included in kit are P-1 shim, lockup boost valve, a shim to shim pressure regulator spring/tool for easy installation. Full size TransGo shift kit.
This corrects common problems such as;
* Neutral under load, 3-4 slip, burned C2 or C3 clutches, sticks in one gear, won’t move after extended parking, loss of pump prime.

This kit includes smart clutch control valves for increased durability and Short-Crisp-Smooth-up shifts and kick downs/ reduces trouble codes. This is the most complete shift correction kit available and definitely the most reputable.

Suncoast Allison paper and rubber kit includes all seals, gaskets and o-rings required to overhaul the Allison 1000. We work directly with the manufacture of our seal kits, so any improvements/revisions are passed on to manufacture and our kits are upgraded to pass the quality on to our customers. We include a new spin on filter and new sump filter along with our billet filter loc to prevent filter from working lose and dropping out of the pump.

* Please specify whether shallow or deep filter is needed with purchase of kit.
* Instructions are included in kit and phone support is available as well.
*Core Charges for the C1 Pressure Plate, C3 Pressure Plate and C4 Pressure Plate apply.
Custom kits are available upon request.

Parts included are either manufactured or designed in house making it easier to tailor each kit to the needs of the customer and the potential of their vehicle.
