a double wrapped will stretch 1-2" and not return, there is alot of pressure on that strap from both teh torsion bars and due to the leverage affect. its a rule of thumb that limit straps stretch 1" without returning as it is so you always count that into your setup.

he picked up ET as well over his fuel. the prior ET of 12.56 was fuel only but at speedworld and different conditions.

Yeah my fuel only pass at this most recent trip to the track was a 12.81@107. With a 2.03 60' on that one

Steve, have you ever dynode fuel only vs spray to see what it is actually doing for you? Are you compensating for the spray tune wise or running same fuel only tune and spraying it. You may just not have enough fuel to see the benefits of it.

It is clean all the way down the track with or without the spray, im just out of fuel.

2800uS drops to 23k rail, 3100uS drops to 16k rail. :(

Well that makes all the sense right there. So, the reason you picked up 3mph is because the spray compensated during shifts/right before shift when the turbo speed is dropping so your power curve is flatter than it is without the spray but your not picking up the power across board like you would if you had enough fuel. Time for some fuel system upgrades...:thumb:

wasn't it already gone over in another thread that limiting straps or chains aren't the answer for the front end lifting, just a band aid for a bad suspension setup

It's a band aid for shocks. It's still better than not running them on bad shocks

QA1s are expensive compared to $18/pair limiting straps. If they don't work I'm not really in the hole very much....I just like tinkering around with stuff like that.

In the future I will either stop racing it and just drive it, or I will do 4 QA1s, drag radials, and a straight centerlink from PPE.

You dont necessarily need QA1s, Steve....you can always go with Rancho 9000s.

Ive always been suspicious of limiting straps myself. Never seemed like a good idea to me.

Better use for your money right now may be for a new CP3.

Just an update as far as 60' goes. These were the results I found with switching from cognito braces to an all seasons centerlink brace.

All season I have been running with cognito braces, and the lowest 60' I've gotten was 1.84. Well I replaced my cognito braces with an all seasons brace, and it dropped my 60' to 1.76. The track was like ice and even people with slicks were having trouble hooking up, one motorcycler ran over the median into another lane... Mustangs with slicks would peel out when they hit second gear, ect. Ambient air temp was 45* and the track that I go to doesn't do much to prep the track, it really sucks. I was thinking I would have worse 60' times but better trap speeds because it was so cold, but I was wrong and got the best 60' I've had all season.

I would recommend the all seasons centerlink brace to anyone, especially if you can't get a good 60'. I did notice if I left the line soft, I wouldn't spin but would only get a 1.8 60' and if I left harder, I would spin at first then hook up and get a 1.7, so spinning a little at first seemed to be the trick for that night.

Ended up doing a 1.76 60' 12.78 @ 103.21 which was an improvement over the previous pass with a 1.822 60' 12.861 @ 103.90, so it looks like the better .4xx of my 60' improved my 1/4 mile time by .11.

Here is a video of my 1.7 60', I'm racing Zach @ Starlite Diesel.

Pfft, burn that glycol. Moar powa!

I cant believe you just said, "Moar powa!" C'mon, it's just like water/meth injection, so what can it hurt? It'll help keep EGTs down, too. :roflmao: j/k
Steve, I meant replace the CP3 you have with a new one, not double up. Two may cause you some, ahem, "problems" later....
