Where did you read that? If it is true, I wonder if Ford will start saying they have an Allison in their Super Duty trucks.

It was posted at gmauthority and another site I found searching for a 10 speed allison. I couldn't find ANYTHING for a 10 speed allison other than the tc10, then I found a press release where they quoted allison branded instead of allison built. It went into detail saying it was a GM design, will be built entirely by GM, but was certified by Allison. Pretty sure it was the gmauthority site where a few speculated it was the 10r140 in a thread with the press release about it being allison branded. I'll try and see if I can find it again.

An excerpt from one article directly from Allison.
Allison Transmission published a press release on December 4th, 2018 that states the following about the new 10-speed automatic transmission, “The Allison branded automatic transmission, manufactured by General Motors, …” The press release also mentions “new Allison 10-speed, tested and validated in partnership with Allison Transmission”.

You're referring to a dual clutch setup. They work great and shift lightning fast and handle hp well. However, they cannot handle tq like our trucks produce.

my dual clutch setup handled 1300 ft lbs of torque quite well. but the trans build alone was about 30,000 on my GTR.
