Why do people find smoke so interesting? I will be the first to admit that when I first got a diesel I thought it was cool, but I honestly do not know why. I'm doing a tune for somebody right now, and you would think I kicked him in the nards when I refused to build him a smoke tune for one of his DSP positions. He went as far as to say at least leave me some black on the big tune, I don't want it to all clear up, even if it means I lose a little power. I told him it would puff some black on the big tune during spool up and that is where I left it.
I even tried explaining to him why I don't do them anymore, and what smoke tunes have cost the sport. Another guy he knows just got a $500 ticket for blacking out a bus stop, yet he still wanted one. I just do not understand why many of us thought it was cool at one time, and why so many people still think the youtube videos of people blacking out bus stops is so cool. And this guy isn't a kid, he's almost 50 and still wants to be a diesel ricer. Even has the dual pipes out the back so he can "spread it out" as he put it.
