ah those bastards and their mouths.

yes, a tie up can very well occur during a burn out and be a contributing factor ;)

It *can* happen. But YOU know that abrupt gain in traction with 500hp is the MAIN cause of scattered transmissions. Esp the alli with it's heavy mass of parts.:D

According to chevy1925, that has nothing to do with it.

Care to point out exactly where I stated that? You really read into my stuff too far.... Lighten up killer, it's a burn out, your killing the trans no matter how we slice it and I sure a hell know it and mike sure as hell points it out to me. You mess with fire, ya get burned. You either deal with the consequences and do it or sit on the side lines.

Now suck it up buttercup and I'll buy you a beer :D

I've always heard of people complaining of burn outs melting the tires away.... never heard so many talk about it hurting the trans? I can see holding the brake pedal down and flooring it hurting the trans a bit, but once you let go of the brake and let her rip it usually (as long as you keep it straight) just runs out smoothly... or at least for me it has. But I guess if you were doing it fairly often I can see how it could take a toll.

TX of course
Not the case, rolling it out is the killer. I love my rolling burnout especially in the rain since I though it would be easier on the trans. Playing on a 500hp tune for a year I managed to kill my stock trans, but my clutches and converter where "fine". My builder had to beat my planetaries apart with a sledge hammer.
