Also while the motor is still out I would drop the pan when doing it to be safe and make sure nothing gets into the motor.Not that hard putting the lower pan back on just need the gm sealer.

Or "The Right Stuff" if its easier to get. You can get it in a caulking tube as the gm stuff does also

my mechanic buddy doesn't like that stuff. he uses loctite brand and mercedes sealer. on my truck i used mercedes dealer sealer. shits expensive, but i got the hook up on it. heard its the "best stuff out" from anywone whos used it

just my 2 cents

I got the motor all sealed up.

LOL Matt I know its all sealed up, Russ said tap the upper pan for the return line for the twins now,While its out and easy to do, I was saying drop the lower pan off to make sure you have less of a chance getting shaving in side from doing that.Then reseal the pan.

I know guy uses right stuff as well on there motor builds or at least others they have done. seems to work good in most cases and sets up fast. I used the gm sealant in the caulking tubes. works great that way and not to exspensive ether.

Deutz uses some pretty nasty sealer, it too is very expensive. We sell it for almost $60 a tube and it isn't very big. That stuff will seal just about anything.

That's what filters are for Henry:D And I would definetly tap it now.

Also that can be done in the truck.Nice having motor in twith trans and starter and all hooked up.I have to look been a year think I did not have mine.
