Had a truck kick my butt for a couple of days. Came in acting like it was gelled, it wasn't that cold, but have funner things happen with bad diesel, this time of year. New fuel filter, didn't want to hold prime, so replaced the filter head, same thing. Put a test tune in it since the DPF was causing a see dealer messsage and codes, still would only run for about a minute and lose rail psi. Ended up hooking up a electric pump out of a fuel can to the filter head to make sure it wasn't engine related and the truck ran great then. So I pull the bed off and open up the tank to find this top from a fuel treatment can in the pickup bucket. I guess it would fall off for long enough to prime the system and run engine for a minute before blocking the inlet. Needless to say, I finally ordered a adapter setup to beable to read vaccum from the test port on these trucks.View attachment 105467

because those are the cheap chinese ones fox sells. Everyone buys them because fox has a good name in the off road industry on their high dollar shocks, so they assume the cheap ones are good. Not, you get what you pay for there.

unless you are buying a fox shock like this

https://www.ridefox.com/subhome.php?m=offroad

or something that is a bolt in factory shock that looks similar, its going to be junk.

a rancho shock is better at longevity as well as bilstein 5150's.

The fox shocks that come on rzr's and canam's are even cheaper crap than the offroad factory race series you can buy. the rzr's/canams have plastic IFP's inside, stupid needle caps for nitrogen, and aluminum bodies that gall up the moment you try to adjust shock preload. they dont tend to hold up well in a race environment either

I know your post is old but I bought a set of Fox Remote reservoir for my cognito 4-6 lift and they were the biggest expensive junk I ever purchased. Rough riding, blown seals, blown bushings.

I rate these a 10 out of 10 as 100% junk haha.
