I've noticed where I work (hospital) the latex gloves are much harder to pull out of the boxes than they used to. I'm wondering if they are compressing them more to take up less room (smaller boxes, less warehouse space needed, fit more on a shipment,...)?

Thank was my other thought. They are pretty tight in there. I'll have to compare the two and see if that's it.

Not only packing them tighter, but since everyone is now allergic to everything and it causes some type of disease or cancer, they are no longer powdered to prevent sticking while lubricating them for removal from the box.

Seen this at one of the places I was servicing some refrigerators and freezers at.

10 thermostats for all the different air conditioners all located in one room. There is no way this would work with all the different A/C's in different zones how is the thermostat supposed to be able to maintain the temperature if it isn't in the same zone? Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired.

I bet it was someones brilliant idea to keep other people from messing with the temperature. "I'll just have all the thermostats moved into my office so I can keep track of all the set points" 🤦‍♂️

And none have the capability of having a remote temp sensor for said room they're controlling
That's very possible. Even if so, something is still very wrong. It may be hard to see but in my full sized photo I can see a few set point temps and a few actual temps and none are even remotely close to the set points. So, one or both possibilities: all the A/C's are broken and/or the thermostats are not remote sensor capable. Based on what I saw there with their other equipment I would guess the former

I do that on boats so the captain doesn’t have to disturb guests while onboard. I use remote temp sensors, it looks slick and works well when implemented properly. That looks like shit.

I guess GM thought m10 manifold hardware worked too well for 16 years...... How many have had to extract broken m8 studs out of L5Ps yet. This is our first luckily

LML surprises. When a customer calls explaining the symptoms that this causes(no flow over maf, so no fueling) it's a head scratcher trying to offer solutions when they are 3 hours away. At least the 1st time, probably won't forget this one. Luckily nothing made it to the turbo

Some people just are good at what they do and nothing else. It took me awhile to get that one figured out. I’d see people with crazy money that earned it but had little ability past their particular field. I now know that is why they pay me, I’m there to fill deficiencies gaps. It’s not like they aren’t aware they need help or I wouldn’t be there.

Yup, that’s why we have so many business. If everyone was good at everything, we’d be screwed. What gets me is when we recommend filters, they say they will do them and 5-7500 miles later at the next oil change, they ain’t been touched.

I may or may not have done a bit of scolding lol.

You're gonna laugh, but I thought that very thing as I hit "post reply" on my comment yesterday.

yup!

Lol I'm that guy on my work truck, but in my defense the place that does my oil changes what's to change the filter every oil change. Which probably would be a bad idea with as much as I'm in the dirt.

What's funny is they will pull the filter out and bring it to me to see it's dirty. Then I tell then I'll take care of it the look they give me is.....

When I was taking care of our "fleet", wipers and all filters got changed every spring when summer tires went on. Brakes and shocks would be checked and repaired, too.
Kids and wife were instructed to tell oil change places that these things did not need replacing. Much easier on the wallet that way.....

I have customers that need a cabin filter and engine filter every 8k. Their fleet trucks are on a concrete plant daily though. They take spectacular care of their vehicles and those filters are dirty as hell by the next oil change.

Either way, all our inspections will show a picture of the filters and our guys ain’t going to sell a filter just because it looks a little dirty. Hell we don’t make money of them anyhow. It’s just a courtesy to our customers. I hate those shops that try to sell a filter when it ain’t needed so I make sure we run it this way.
