Just figured I'd post up on the set I've been running. I had 2 injector body's fail on my way to meet someone who was buying my truck. Call it luck or what have you but that cost me a pretty penny! So after everything was said and done, I ended up with a set of Exergy 45% overs with the SAC nozzles, I also installed a brand new LBZ CP3, C grade gaskets and ARP head studs. For lift pump I'm running a FASS 150 and a CAT fuel filter on the factory filter head. I have PPE up pipes and manifolds, other then that I still have the stock turbo a built trans by Mike L. I Now have little over 30k miles on everything in the motor and a lot of hard towing miles. I'm extremely happy with everything and the guy who tunes my truck actually likes them better. I clean my injectors out ever few months and my fuel filters are changed every other oil change just because I'm anal about it. As far as performance goes mine are turned down since I still have the stocker turbo /: but I will tell you at WOT they are very quite compared to any OEM reman injector.

If Anyone has questions let me know! I just installed a set of S&S 45 over SAC's in my buddies built motor LB7 so we'll see how they are compared to mine. Should be the same since it's the same guy who designed mine

Any update on this? Im a newbie and am considering purchasing an 03 LB7 that needs injectors already. Its seems to be a good deal and I am starving for information. I have been glued to this forum for a week. LOL.

Mine are still running same as last update. When I get a bunch more miles on them I'll do another formal update, or of course if something goes wrong. But for now, no news is good news.

If your looking for an injector that will hold up and last a long time check out our SAC 45% option here. We have had great results with them and have sold a ton of them! Let me know if I can help.

The SAC injectors do a lot better with a tune for them. They can take some tweaking to get the idle back where it should be and to prevent the throttle from being too much on/off. THEFERMANATOR has written a good bit about how he tuned his in [THREAD=74375]this thread[/THREAD].

What I've found is the sac nozzle NEEDS timing. With that sac pocket in the nozzle, you get a slight delay before the injection begins vs a vco nozzle. Adding timing to both main and pilot(like GM did in the lly) made a HUGE difference. I still need to redo my fuel tables as I have found there is some areas of the fuel table where it's really close, and other areas it is WAY off. The one thing I've found is the lower mm3 of fuel amounts need to be reduced quite a bit, but the normal idle area(7-9mm3) is pretty close with my 45's. And I've also found once you get around 80-100 mpa of pressure, the flow changes flatten out, but in the lower pressures you actually need to add fuel to bring it all in line. I know most are ramping pressure way up to try and steady the fueling and clean them up, but I'm running stock pressure with no issues after reducing the pilot quantity and adding timing. Tuning them has gone against alot of what I've learned from tuning trucks with stock style injectors.

We have been seeing nothing but positive feedback on the SAC injectors! You will not be disappointed with your choice.

Installed mine March/April time frame and have clocked about 20k miles and couldn't be happier with them.
Also the LDS compressor kit complements the larger injectors nicely

So the best tune for the SAC45's is the EFILive? Could I use an Edge tuner or something similar?
I have had Bob Olsen tunes in my lb7 for the last 4 years and when I Installed the sac injectors it ran better. I haven't seen anything that needs addressing with the current tunes in my truck. It idles fine, runs damn good. And doesn't smoke. Dfrp is like 5.7 at idle and actual frp is dead on that. Egts don't go beyond 1k except at wot.... not sure what would needed to be tuned?

Like I said it seems to run great all around on all 5 tunes, it's never had this good of throttle response since I've owned it.

There's literally 3 posts on page 8 (same page you posted on) about the advantages and need to have them tuned properly. Yes they will run not tuned for them. Maybe even better than the previous style. But will run better once tuned.
