I wonder how the 96 turbine would act when used as a Secondary then. If it comes up faster than the 87, and has more torque over the compressor wheel than the 87, it should theoretically be better all around still, no?

Yes. But I don't think it will always come up faster. There has to be another reason. Not saying Caleb or mark are laying. But I think there must have been some important changes made also that we don't know about.

Fueling perhaps???

Brian is trying to do this with stock sticks/ stock cp3... I doubt you could bring up a 96 faster than an 87 or 83 with stock fuel. JMO

If this is the case with stock fueling, I may as well take my 75 from my twins and put it in the Valley. Just need to get my converter restalled. :D

If ya think heavy fueling down low is what it takes, watch corries vids that caleb posted the link of earlier. watch the daytime ones, see much smoke while she brings it up? Compared to others that sit there and 'role coal' @ 1500 rpm for 15 seconds to spool?

I learned the hard way this past year, never tuned a big single before. Sent my bro out for his first pull, and wouldnt spool. Just spewed black smoke out stack and wouldnt rev above 1900 rpm for like 120ft, then slowly lit.

i dont know, did I? just meant it doesnt take obscene amounts of fuel down low to spool these big chargers. Caleb's truck doesnt seem to be heavily fueled but spools so nice. On a charger that is probably bigger than most would ever think to run on a driven truck

I guess I misread or something. Like I said I wasn't calling you a liar. Or trying to call you one I should say. He already has it, I'm about to be doing my own testing!

Yeah cause the first part of your original post says you think it does take lots of heavy fueling down low to spool the turbo lol. I think you ment to say "doesnt take"

20-30 psi is not a big deal to launch in twin application. Single is a different animal.

I use to launch 23-24 psi max because i cant boost more with the tuning/converter.

If i could, i would go 30+++ and i'm sure 60ft would be even better than 1,57

Should be ordering the turbo later this next week. I think a 75/87/.90 will be a fun turbo in the single cab. Dmax711 is making my intake, merchant drain/feed lines and ATS intecooler and down pipe are on their way. Excited to get this turbo on :D
