Well Ive decided to stick with the 58 converter, and the 75/83/.90. Im not going to be sledpulling in 4 low, nor really have a need to throw lots of fuel at it. I can always loosen up the turbine AR down the road. The truck will be 5700 lbs with me in it, so I wont need as much power either. if DP becomes and issue, I'll loosen the AR and then retest, then may get a different charger. Im not ready for a bar in a truck yet, so I think that turbo will be perfect for stock fuel, then some 60's down the road. Thanks for the help! :thumb: All these different converter choices is a bit confusing, so I'll stick with my original game plan. I think the 75/83/.90 will be just fine for what I want to do with the single cab :thumb:

No problem, glad to help!

Depends on track and sled, 8psi 2000 rpms= soft lazy launch, 10 psi 2000
/2200 sligt lag moderate launch, 12 psi 2200/2300rpm, launches like a fircracker!, egts always between 900/1000 at launch. I started with a. 9 housing, bumpd 1.0 then 1.10,power and rpm went up, never noticed spool difference. Belive it or not, 96 wheel pulls up quicker than a 87!

Thats crazy that 2 psi difference makes it launch like a firecracker compared to having moderate lag! I know nothing about sled pulling but on the 1/4 i don't even notice a difference launching between 8-14 psi lol. Just suprising you can actually tell a difference with such a minor amount of boost difference.

I thought the new Mike L goerend convertor was supposed to be a good one for a application such as yours?

Mlg is way to snug on the bottom and all threw the mid range for , large frame turbo IMO, it is very awesome for stockish turbos including stock twins, and small singles though.

5:17 mark is a 8 psi launch
5:40 mark is a 12 psi launch
same track, same night, same sled
The larger turbine wheels get kinda touchy once ya getum in their sweet spot!

Damn that truck sounds so perfect! That is really amazing the difference it makes by just 4 psi! I never would have guessed that. It definetly ripped alot better leaving at 12psi:thumb:

Dont know, even on the dyno, 87 strugled to light a bit more than 96, my though, same comp wheel, bigger wheel gives more leverage to push the comp into the boost. it shocked me, i was worried, then surprised!

Caleb is right, the 87mm doesn't come up as fast as the 96mm did for reason you just said. It's all about the setup and yours is great, congrats!!!
