For the money I would buy the merchant oil feed/drain kit. Bought one for the truck I worked on at home that the oil drain leaked on, very nice kit! I will be buying one for my truck when it goes back together. Billet oil drain fittings, braided drain line and gaskets. Also -6 oil feed line and fittings, very nice kit!

cool thanks I will definately look into that thanks!

their advertised stall is 2200 for the 58 and 2400 for the 55. actual results vary with tuning

Also, stall isn't everything....
Right but I want to buy one converter the first time lol

Funk used to have a 1057 and cut some crazy 1.4x 60' and went low 7's in the 1/8 with the same turbo and 60%. He was using a 1053 towards the end and still cut some 1.4x's and dipped into the 6's. I know is 1053 was loose, but he could spool really well with it

How is a Precision ml converter going to work with a 475 with 1.0 ar on stock fuel?

My ML works pretty good with my 475. Once you build about 800egt the boost comes right up. Easy to drive also. Looking to go with a 55 or have precision restall my ML

A 475/83 isnt that big of a charger, i wouldnt even think of using a 55 unless ur gonna go bigger on the exhaust side, seems to me a big loose converter is used by some to make up for other short comings in a setup.

Definitely not arguing with you at all that truck is crazy impressive but I've seen videos of him spooling with the 1057 and it took him a really long time. I definitely wouldnt run a 1057 with an S475

With my truck, changing from the batmo s475/83/.90 to the HTT s482/87/.90 with a 1055, spooling on the line became impossible (just above sea level). With the s475, boost would come up quickly beginning at 850 degrees, 2300 rpm. With the s482, i was limited by the converter and while spooling on the line, my logs would flatline at 2350 rpms and 4psi of boost, 1000 degrees. I switched to the DPC custom converter for Denver and could build 1200 degrees, 2600 rpm, and was launching at 12-16 psi. I broke the crank, rebuilt the motor with DTS heads and cam, more compression (more protrusion and tighter piston to valve) and with some more time spent tuning it, could get it to light faster than ever. However, it still needed 1100 degrees and 2500 rpm to begin to light. Currently, my converter is stalled at 3300 rpm and drives and tows as well or better than the 1055 did. It locks consistently even with bens box turned off. I have gone through similar trial and error to Camomax, who had to make similar changes to his setup when he switched from the s475 to the 82 and he was running the 83 turbine with a loose housing
