S364.5 FMW as a single would be pretty cool. Compressor maps shows it flows as much as a 366 but it will spool much better. That's what I had as a small turbo in my twins before I changed trucks. :thumb:

I'm a little confused as to why you'd want a 366 (or smaller) with larger sticks and a stock motor. Wouldn't the low rpm powerful spooling cause harm? IMHO on a stocker, you'd want to go easy on the fueling down low so that it doesn't hit so hard until more rpm's build and she can handle it. I see a bad scenario where someone buys a smaller turbo and fuels the shit out of it to hit harder than stock down low, and then pops a motor thinking that smaller turbo means safer for a DD'er that can't afford a build.

I'm no expert, but doesn't this make sense?

P.S. I love the ZF6 trucks with big singles  I check this thread daily for a new video and I'm waiting for the one that goes BOOM soon! :D

That can all be controlled in tuning, however go bigger will limit your towing ability. There's no reason to full heavy down low with a small charger.

Not sure if this is directed at me or not, but I'll try to answer accordingly.

I don't really want more power down low, it has plenty of that. I mostly want a bigger than stock turbo that will tow good and still make good top end power.

I'm not gonna fuel the crap out of a 366, I know what happens to rods doing that down low :) plus I'm pretty sure mark wouldn't let me unless I told him I wanted to spaghetti the rods. I'm just doing the 45%s because I have them and would install while I'm there. Probably leave stock pump in the valley until it craps out..

I'm trying to figure out why its taking so long to break in a clutch. Starting to wonder if it's just not going to hold

I would get the 3794 10 times over before I'd do a 366.

X2
I had a 366 and it SUCKED for towing!!! It was a dog and wouldn't spool till 2,200+rpm's. My stock turbo would makes circles around that 366. Now, once it spooled you were gone. But my EGT's were high whereas my stock or modified stock turbo stayed nice and cool.

If you're wanting a fixed turbo upgrade I agree with Russ and do a 64.5 FMW, at the biggest. If you're planning on twins I've heard great things about a 63.5/68or70 FMW with an S475 or S480 over top of it.

Or you could keep your stock turbo and twin over top of it, that would be your cheapest options and get good power.

If I could run one of my modified VVT's I'd do that for sure.

Sorry for the off topic Jessie.

Video works.

BTW I don't think hammering gears during a burnout is breaking in a clutch

No worries about topic we are in turbo talk lol
Yeah well once it breaks loose burning out its easy on the clutch lol I've been trying hard to take it easy. I took my key lock dsp5 key and threw it in my mess of a consol so when I want it I can't find it when I'm driving lol. I've been locking it in 4x4 so it don't spin and doing a bunch of take offs in my gravel driveway. It's getting Grabby I hope it holds soon. I've had Henry's v2 for weeks now.

It may take longer, took my buddies stock 100k mile 7.3 almost 1000 miles to feel right, he was pretty pissed at first but it straightened out

I've been on tune one for a while I want to keep it there for a few more miles. I don't want to smoke it again that already cost me 900 lol
