Opinions Please.
Is an s366 the best Turbo for maxing out a stock LBZ to 650 RWHP?

I would love twins but I think I can get an s366 installed for less than half the price.

Its a great turbo for compounds later down the road. So its not like your taking a step backwards. Your more-so half way already there!

What turbo would go on top of the 366 and how much power would the combination potentially make?

I love my S366 it lights great and there is plenty of power there. But now that I am looking at building the motor I am looking at going to upgrade. :woott:

Go ahead and get an S400. 472 or 475 if you dont tow heavy every day. I have a Billet S475 and it spools pretty good. Also the lag is just enough to get you up in the rpms before the power comes on, this helps the bottom end. When it does light its a huge hit that cant be described you have to experience it.

Mine have gone higher than that...1800+ (I think it depends on what different people call a race tune, and who did the tuning)....I think that you have to not be concerned with EGT's if you are thinking about race tunes.

Isn't that the whole point of a "race" tune? What are you willing to compromise on for speed?

I can say this...I could run a "hot" tow tune, towing a trailer (6800# Airstream), or with my slide in camper (3000#) and not have a problem when running most hills (say 6% grade or less at 70+mph). This tune was great, and was about as much as I would like to run with the truck loaded and the HTT did fine, and my EGT's were in the low 1400's. I also live down low, so the truck has never been run above probably 4000' of altitude.

If you want to have max power AND low EGT's, then you need to do something besides run a single, or be willing to turn down the fuel. If you want max power, turn up the fuel and live with the consequences....just my opinion :)
