Also the lag is just enough to get you up in the rpms before the power comes on, this helps the bottom end. When it does light its a huge hit that cant be described you have to experience it.

That's why I love big turbos

Go ahead and get an S400. 472 or 475 if you dont tow heavy every day. I have a Billet S475 and it spools pretty good. Also the lag is just enough to get you up in the rpms before the power comes on, this helps the bottom end. When it does light its a huge hit that cant be described you have to experience it.

And what if he doesn't have funding/time/wants to change his TC? He would have to think about that aspect before hand.

Thought you 475 guys had to run looser tc's to stay ontop of the charger?
I dont know about a cast 475, but the billet charger I have spools just fine with a tight converter. I have a Suncoast 1057 which is probably one of the tightest out there and the only time It causes trouble is staging at the track. I have to get the rpms up to about 1500 and sit there for a few seconds, probably 10 or so and get the egt's up to about 800. When the egt's get where they need to be the boost comes up. Also my launches seem to be much smoother, with the stock charger it was touchy and there was a fine line between a good solid launch and blowing the tires off.

With a good trans tune daily driving is a blast with a big single, you need a tcm tune that downshifts with less than stock throttle input and all is good. With a stock tcm tune you will black the highway out passing in a high gear.
